Lead global #prodmgmt for @forrester. Passionate about how #product management can drive value for customers and growth for companies. Tweet/link ≠ endorsement.
For a while Twitter has become less useful for me to learn & share on #prodmgmt. Recent policy/product changes here have only reinforced that so I'm going on a Twitter hiatus. I've found @LinkedIn better to post/read on #product so you can follow me there https://t.co/QipZJAQ9Jr
Someone told me that the @AroundTheNFL crew was looking for evidence of @greggrosenthal's high school band.
It seems like every 10 years or so this question comes up, so I dug into the archives.
DM me Gregg or @DanHanzus and I can share the audio
It's the 1st business day of Q4 2022, meaning it's time for #prodmgmt to check their roadmaps & ask...
- Did what was on the roadmap for Q3 get done?😲
- How confident are we in plan for Q4?😬
- Do we have anything on the roadmap for 2024, or is it just "TBD"?😰
The clearest sign of intellectual chemistry isn't agreeing with someone. It's enjoying your disagreements with them.
Harmony is the pleasing arrangement of different tones, voices, or instruments, not the combination of identical sounds.
Creative tension makes beautiful music.
It's July 1 - the 1st day of Q3 - meaning it's time for #prodmgmt to check their roadmaps and ask...
- Did what was on the roadmap for Q2 get done? 😲
- Is what's on the roadmap for Q3/Q4 still accurate? 😬
- Does the roadmap look out far enough (or too far) into the future? 😰
@RichMironov When I book a vacation, I want to feel excited.
When I submit an assignment --> relieved.
When I share a video of my family --> warm+fuzzy.
The copy, interaction design, etc. influence emotions. A lighthearted UX may be ok for commenting on a family video but not an obituary.
Idea: Add "emotional requirements" to requirements/epics/user stories.
In addition to capturing the desired outcome or action for the persona, articulate how we want them to FEEL during and afterwards. (e.g. Relieved? Grateful? Excited?)

I think "A Quiet Place 2" should be a feel-good movie about a post-COVID world where a guy works from home the entire day in complete silence while his kids are at school and his spouse is at her office job.

#ProdMgmtDailyTip 365: Take a break.
Turn off your device.
Forget about work for a bit.

Everyone needs time to recharge.
Then, when you come back, you'll be more refreshed and maybe have new inspiration that you picked up while offline.
#ProdMgmtDailyTip 364: Commit to new habits.
The start of a new year is a good time to implement good #prodmgmt habits, like continuous discovery interviews, blocking off time for #product strategy or competitive analysis, posting daily #productmanagement tips to Twitter... 😉
#ProdMgmtDailyTip 363: Share what you know.
