This isn't a #Maize field. It's a Central Forest Reserve 🌳.
Years of encroachment left this forest degraded.
One of the contributing factors was the lack of clearly defined boundaries between community land and the forest reserve.
Following a boundary verification and reopening exercise by the National Forestry Authority (NFA), the reserve is now entering a new phase 👉restoration.
Today, we're working with @NFAUG team to develop a roadmap for restoring this landscape🌄
One step closer to bringing the forest back.
@GoodForestsUg is honored to support the @GovUganda and the @ForestryMgt_MWE in restoring this important forest ecosystem.
We are proud to contribute our expertise to this national effort.

You have to be very careful with people who have lost parents, siblings or children. When some one goes through that level of pain they start seeing life differently. They no longer tolerate fake energy and they don't play about their peace because they have already buried parts of themselves. Losing someone that close shifts something deep inside. The person they used to be doesn't fully exist anymore. They move differently, they love differently. Even their smile carried a weight most people won't understand. They value real connections more because they know how quickly everything can be taken away. That's why they protect their energy harder. They have already lost pieces of themselves. So if they seem guarded or distant understand it's not rejection it's protection. They have loved deeply and lost greatly. You have to be very careful with people who have lost parents, siblings or children because loss changes a person forever
A harvest with a blessing🥑

Why do we buy directly from farmers?
Direct sourcing means:
Fairer pay
Better quality
Full traceability
When farmers earn more, they invest more. Strong farmers build strong value chains.
