President Trump again tweeted about me. This time it was a video of me talking about his administration's efforts to curb voting by mail.
First and foremost, voting and our democracy are safe. Voting by mail is safe. There are some states, like Utah, that vote 90% by mail. But this is part of a much bigger story of President Trump’s obsession with disinformation and misinformation about our elections because he fears he's going to lose or his party is going to lose in November. This is all part of the president's efforts to lay down a storyline ahead of the November elections so that if his party loses, he can wrongly claim fraud.
So, let's review the bidding on what the president has done just in the past six or seven months to create this narrative.
1⃣ He kicked off the redistricting wars to protect his Republican majorities.
2⃣ He gutted the Voting Rights Act from the 1960s.
3⃣ He's suing 30 states for their voter rolls, including the state of Michigan.
4⃣ He also said in the State of the Union that if his side doesn't win in November, the elections were rigged.
5⃣ He's obsessively pushed the Save America Act, which would make it harder for millions of Americans to vote.
6⃣ And then most importantly in my book, he and his cabinet have refused to rule out sending uniformed military or federal law enforcement to our polls.
I think it's important to realize that this is all part of a well-worn authoritarian playbook. As a former CIA officer, I've seen this movie play out overseas. It usually ends up with the leader creating a justification to send uniformed military or federal law enforcement to the polls in the 11th hour.
The president can post about me. He can make fun of me all he wants. I barricaded myself in my office on January 6th, the last time he tried to overturn an election. And earlier this year, he tried to criminally indict me for a 90-second video. The intimidation is the point.
But in our 250th year, nothing is more important than protecting our democracy and our fundamental right to vote.
Trump promised to balance the budget.
Musk projected $2 trillion in savings.
This year, the deficit grew by 18% — with $200 billion of that due to refunds of his illegal tariffs.

What is happening inside the military with promotions and firings: We have a ton of people who are being removed from promotion lists. They’re being recommended by those in uniform, and they are being stripped out by Pete Hegseth.
Just this year, 40 military officers have been forcibly removed from those promotion lists. Over half of them are either women, or people of color. There seems to be a pointed effort to get rid of people who are not white men who are on the promotion list by merit.
What I am hearing about from folks in uniform is a new secret vetting process where people in the Department of Defense are looking at someone’s social media history. Looking at whether they attended a Pride event or that they posted something on their personal Facebook page about Martin Luther King Day.
I am hearing from a ton of people who have been career military officers who are saying, “look if anyone of color or if every woman is being stripped out of these lists, how am I to understand who and how can get promoted.”
I’m hearing young people, particularly young women and young officers of color, who are saying to me, “I planned to be in the military for 20 or 30 years, but now I feel like there is going to be a ceiling on me succeeding in this institution. No one’s ever going to give me a merit-based promotion and so maybe I’ll retire. Maybe I’ll get out early.”
So, between morale and loss of qualified senior enlisted and senior officers, we are seeing a real change in our military that's affecting things not just at the top level, but also all the way down to our most junior officers. That does not make us safe. We want the military to be the best fighting force it can be, and it can’t do that when its morale is being tested and people are leaving.
THANK YOU, SENATORS CRONYN & TILLIS,
FOR DENYING TRUMP ANOTHER PERSONAL DEAL!

Jon Ossoff is serious as fuck -- and this question about the impunity being given to Trump's murderous ICE Nazis, who are literally carrying out cold-blooded assassinations on the streets of America, got the response it deserved.
Don Jr.’s firm jumping from $200M to $3B in assets since Trump retook office isn’t a sudden burst of business acumen
The American people deserve answers
I explain on @MSNOWNews w/ @NicolleDWallace 👇
Donald Trump has quite literally milked the cow that is the American government. The level of corruption we have seen from him is like no other president in American history. And now, the president's company wants to sell early access to his own posts to Wall Street traders. Giving insiders more access to profit.
NEW: 500+ journalists formally ask White House Correspondents Assoc. "to publicly pledge that it will fight back against the Trump Admin's assault on press freedom" at its dinner with Trump on Friday
"Attacks on journalists and press freedom have become even more egregious"
MAGA: “Trump will make America great again!”
REALITY: Trump gave America diarrhea, high gas prices, and illegally covered for pedophiles.
Was MAGA tricked or do they like shit, poverty and pedophilia?
@SenatorSlotkin After 2016 we had many msm & Democrats concerned about election integrity. Millions of voters are still concerned. Use our available technology & common sense laws to stop fraud & noncitizens from voting. https://t.co/268YjiCPuU
Senator Slotkin has put her finger on Trump's crooked deal with the corrupt Postmaster General not to deliver mail-in ballots.
This is Trump's corrupt effort to keep people from voting. He and his Republican supporters are trying to keep millions of people from voting in the upcoming election.
I remember when Republicans encouraged people to vote.
Hopefully, the courts will intervene in time.
President Trump tweeted about me last night and my concerns that the Postal Service was going to curb mail-in voting.
But it's part of a much bigger playbook from this President.
The man has basically said, "If my team loses, the system is rigged."
The Department of Defense should release its findings on the deadly bombing of an elementary school in Iran. The deadliest civilian casualty event tied to the U.S. military in decades.
