@specutainment@Porsche The first comment on the @Porsche post about something positive was this guy complaining about the infotainment system. This is what we can’t have nice things.
@NGAutoArt@specutainment Don’t get me wrong, Luce is an abomination that everyone involved should hang their head in shame. Now if their plan was engagement for engagements sake I guess they succeeded.
The Renault looks fantastic and unfortunately not available in the US
@specutainment@NGAutoArt My opinion, the negativity about the Luce (and other “performance” EV offerings) is more about government forcing the issue than the car itself
Easier to direct anger at one object than a nebulous entity called government
@AutoPap@hjwakerley Even to the point of self harm, we don’t like being told what we have to do by the government. It’s in our DNA, see 1776.
With that said, if Renault brought the 5 to the US I would own one.
@AutoPap@hjwakerley It’s hard to argue against EV practicality for city living and/or short distance travel.
The pushback in the US is mostly based on the authorities telling you had to buy an electric car in a country with little charging infrastructure outside major cities
@strangerattable@ClayTravis Debt spending is debt spending no matter what the debt is for
This admin, that admin it’s all the same
Until the people decide that government is the problem (not which party is in power) nothing changes
@strangerattable@ClayTravis We both agree the tax laws could use some work
But I’m also against wealth tax. Government gets one bite at the apple.
Government doesn’t have a revenue problem, they have a spending problem.
Nothing will help unless spending is brought under control
