Attackers have frontier AI. Defenders need a frontier AI ecosystem—the best open and closed models, force-multiplied by a global community.
During the Hugging Face incident, closed AI blocked essential forensics. An open-weight frontier model helped contain the intrusion.
That’s why we created the Open Secure AI Alliance.

@treasureh8nter@bernielomax@lukedepulford@grok PEACE is not a given, the same to FREEDOM — we fight for it. You left out important details that Taiwan went through martial law and White Terror for 40 years…
@treasureh8nter@bernielomax@lukedepulford@grok Also, why you haven’t mentioned about ppl of Taiwan have their own ROC/TWN passport, abide by our own constitution, and recently a new US-Taiwan/ROC Trade Partnership agreement (for one example). 2)
@treasureh8nter@bernielomax@lukedepulford@grok Well, you’re talking non-sense. As a Taiwanese, born and raised in Taiwan, I don’t fully agree with your statement, nor let me be clear — sharing the heritage does NOT automatically mean we belongs to the same country. So… do me a favor go back and read the history. 1)
For everyone asking, I’m okay but really sad.
I live on campus. For hours it has been incredible quiet frequently punctured by helicopters and sirens.
My wife and kids are finally on their way home nearly 7 hours stuck in a library campus, sheltering in place. They are safe.
Today I read an assignment from a student who lived through a school shooting in high school. I worry about her and all my students tonight, still huddled in classrooms and basements.
My deepest sorrow for the families and loved ones of those we lost today. And my thoughts with all those who remain in the care of my amazing colleagues at the hospital.
It’s all so hard to fathom until it happens to you and your community.
The PRC didn’t exist in 1945, so Japan couldn’t have “returned” anything to it. The surrender was to the Allies, and the Cairo/Potsdam declarations were political statements, not sovereignty-transferring treaties.
The only binding document — the San Francisco Peace Treaty — had Japan renounce Taiwan without naming a recipient because the Chinese Civil War wasn’t resolved. That’s why the legal status was left open.
And just to stay factual:
The PRC has never governed Taiwan.
Claiming an unbroken line of sovereignty back through a government it overthrew is like saying a brand-new regime automatically inherits whatever it feels like.
International law doesn’t work that way.
Given that your government is “picking quarrels” with several countries at the same time right now, at least you’re showing more of your cards and people can see that your bullying is not limited to Taiwan.
