“Rome is an eternal thought in the mind of God. For if there were no gods at all, I would revere them. If there was no Rome, I would dream of her.”

Aristotle is a Nazi to the left. 🙄

The @SecRubio effect. Once he cut off the corrupt USAID slush funds, look what happened:

You know I think the enjoyment of events like the Freedom 250 U.F.C. fight sometimes boils down to an IQ problem. Low IQ is easily entertained by the lights and show. Easily satisfied and enthralled. High IQ sees the ambiance and the push of culture and civilization to aspire to something higher, grandeur than ourselves. To channel the past and leap forward into the unknown. It’s the mid-IQ people who find themselves difficult to be entertained, and yet lack the ability to see the fundamentals that are required to create a great and vast civilization.
On the 6th year of his reign and 80th year of his life, the American Caesar settled a skirmish with the Parthians and hosted a circus maximus on the lawn of his estate. Much rejoicing was had, although consternation was felt among his enemies, wretched dogs that they are ...
I love that we’re the new Rome. Peace with Persia in the afternoon and a gladiator fight in the evening, all on the Emperor’s birthday. Another 1,000 years.
Bro goes to Rome and whines about the coliseum. 🙄 I hate little twats like this guy. The man who consistently advocated for war in the middle east finds a ufc fight, violent and vulgar? What a low IQ moron
"The UFC event captures something about this moment in our history.
After all, it’s vulgar, it’s violent, it’s commercial, it’s grandiose, it’s tacky, and it dishonors a place once thought worthy of care and respect. In other words, it’s Donald Trump."

A crescent moon, covered in grass, is not a war memorial thanking you for your service. It’s the lasting insult the government will pay for a pointless, meaningless war in which you watched your friends die—a hollow reminder that their sacrifice never mattered to those in power.
I think what dumbfounds me is that any normal person looks at the GWOT Memorial design and thinks, “my God this is horrendous.” Yet, you see big names in the elite circles be like, “isn’t this a delight.” I can’t figure out the disconnect.
@SenatorBanks Agreed! It’s somewhat fitting though. Two pointless wars. They had no purpose, no meaning, no victorious conclusion. Our friends died in the void. No valor, no honor, no glory. Just bureaucrats and contractors in Arlington making a pretty penny.
