Chief Warrant Officer 3 Conrrado Jonse, the Emergency Services Officer assigned to the Marine Corps CBIRF explains CBIRF's role in Exercise Sudden Response 23 at Fort Hood, Texas Dec. 9, 2022.
The pictured specialized federal response forces are part of the nation’s tiered capability for responding to a natural or manmade catastrophic CBRN or all-hazards event to save lives, relieve human suffering and facilitate response operations. #SuddenResponse23
JTF-CS conducts Exercise Sudden Response 23 to train the nation’s military CBRN response capability. These exercises ensure that units -- regardless of service, component or state -- are interoperable, and are able to operate as national CBRN responders.
Today, JTF-CS personnel are moving into the newly-renovated Joint Operations Center. This new JOC will allow the command to more effectively manage Defense CBRN Response Force personnel in supporting the lead federal agency during a catastrophic manmade or natural disaster.
