@CurseOfPolitics do you guys ever declare your conflicts of interest on topics you discuss on the program, besides the obvious, like maybe consulting interests in AB that might bias your commentary? Not sure I've ever heard ethical declarations from you all. Love the program!
Probably the best description of how we should address homelessness, addiction, and mental health:
HOUSING FIRST doesn’t mean housing without resources.
It means housing with supports.
Housing with treatment. Housing with mental health care.
Housing with stability. Housing with dignity.
You can’t rebuild a life while someone is still trying to survive outside.
Be like Finland.
“Are LED lights harsh?”
If they feel harsh, they’re likely not LEDs.
LEDs let you choose your light:
✅ Warm (2700K) = cozy/soft
✅ Daylight (5000K) = bright/clear

PM Carney on the Americans calling the alcohol ban an irritant: "You know what's an irritant? 50% tariffs on steel. 50% tariffs on aluminum. 25% tariffs on automobiles. All the tariffs on forest products. Those are more than irritants, those are violations of our trade deal."
From American Pulse.
“Carney has been Canada’s Prime Minister for one year. In that year, he has rearmed his country, rebuilt its alliances, secured its Arctic, reoriented its trade away from the United States, and stood on the world stage at Davos to say — without euphemism, without apology — that the old order is over and America is no longer its anchor”

Canada Post moving ahead with end of home delivery
They’re “moving ahead” with stopping dead. Henceforth Canada Post will provide one service — parcel delivery — that dozens of other companies do cheaper, faster and better, while refusing to provide another service — home mail delivery — which other companies are statutorily forbidden to provide.
Can we please end this farce? Or are we really going to continue to enforce a legal monopoly for Canada Post on a service it no longer performs?

@JackieSeidel1@andrew_leach The parking bans are still strictly enforced but there's not a lot of snow removal happening in Saint John anymore. Definitely not uptown.
"Canada and the United States have built a remarkable partnership in the economy, in security, and in rich cultural exchange. But Canada doesn't live because of the United States. Canada thrives because we are Canadian," says PM Mark Carney, speaking in Quebec City.

Elections are for later. Vote Conservative, vote Liberal - that choice will come. Put down your partisan swords today and take a moment and listen to this speech and what is being framed. These times are not like any other.
Were you in court? Did you read the decision? I was that man’s lawyer. He was sentenced to 5 months jail.
It is ok to disagree with the sentence. It is ok to suggest policy or legislative responses to the decision. But it does us all a disservice when you lie.
@davidfrum You may have something interesting to say here, but until your publication stops accusing our country of treachery, I'll get my point of view elsewhere.
@AnishKattukaran Oh wow! We have a house full of Google speakers that we all in the family decided over the holidays to get rid of because they've suddenly become completely useless.
