Evidence of @RishiSunak contempt to combating the climate crisis "Former Foreign Office minister Zac Goldsmith, who resigned last week citing what he termed Sunak’s “apathy” towards the environment, said this would “shred” the UK’s international reputation

Is it me or is the UK truly broken - After 13 years of cuts, councils are now reaching the point where there is no room to reduce statutory services, & no financial reserves left to fill budget gaps. More and more councils starting to declare bankruptcy

WildFish lawyers argue that a substantial proportion of raw sewage discharges are already unlawful under the urban wastewater regulations 1994, and setting targets to 2050 will allow water companies to keep illegally spilling raw sewage.

.@Simon4NDorset assure the average Joe, international investors who leveraged our water companies and take excessive dividends whilst under investing in infrastructure will be footing the bill & Joe public will not put a single tax penny into bailing out these private companies
Tory stealth taxes come home to roost: number of higher-rate income taxpayers risen 40% in 3 years. Almost 5.6m — 1 in 6 taxpayers — will pay higher rate since Sunak froze threshold at which people start paying 40%. In 1990 40% rate was paid by just 6.5% of taxpayers. Now a marginal rate intended only for high earners is being paid by teachers, nurses, police.
I have just learnt that on the day it was privatised Thames Water was debt free. It has now run up £14 billion worth of debt by paying bonuses to its executives.
Why do British people put up with this so often?
Gove address to the water industry in 2018. It’s all there – concern over excessive profits, excessive salaries, offshore financial arrangements, prioritisation of dividend payments, and warnings about highly leveraged firms, specifically Thames Water. https://t.co/wsMxECnAVV
What a wonderfully insightful and powerful documentary, @RoseAylingEllis continues to break down barriers by sharing her experiences of being deaf.
Thank you for sharing Rose and well done to @RoganProduction on a wonderful production.

@Simon4NDorset The Tories have been responsible for this since 2010, are you saying @Simon4NDorset that oversight and performance has not been up to scratch under a Conservative government; or just implying civil servants are lazy and incompetent in your role as a constituency MP? WHICH IS IT?
Teachers deliberately swamping Dover with coaches of school children bound for France is a national disgrace.
Marxist teaching unions have employed this despicable tactic as an alternative to striking to further their claims for more pay.
As I have said: BREXIT IS NOT TO BLAME!😡

I'm sorry to say we won't be able to hold the Metropolitan Police Commissioner to account tonight for the Casey Report's findings of institutional racism, misogyny and homophobia because his press office have again excluded #C4News
@francescrook@BBCr4today As the UNHCR made clear last week, refugees are entitled to arrive in a country by “irregular” means, without documentation, and claim asylum.
It is legal for a refugee to arrive in the UK by small boat, provided they apply for asylum on arrival and their claim succeeds.
