When he appears to contradict what was previously taught, he needs to be clear to ensure the wrong interpretation is not the outcome.

These are the convesations the SSPX is trying to have.

I don't need to wait for another Pope to tell me this is a scandal.

The Pope is a Guardian of the faith not it's inventor or a dictator.

If he or an angel from heaven should preach a new gospel. Let him be anathama.

@ninetyftaway2 @EricRSammons No they seek approval. They maintain the faith as it was consistantly taught up until the 2nd Vatican Council because it has proven to be a total failure in it's stated goals. This is a service to the Church one day they will be thanked for it.

Have engaged in serious doctrinal discussions. Requested an audience with the Pope to explain societies situation, no doubt the need for bishop's to continue their work.

They do great work

It's a shame the Pope refused to see them

The question with the Pope is what are the limits?Can he change the faith?
What if by his actions he shows approval toward false religions or communion for those living in adultery?

@ninetyftaway2 @EricRSammons The Guarantees around Papal Infallibility are very limited. He is the Vicar of Christ and deserves to be treated as the Holy father. But he is not inherently more or less othodox than the rest of the bishops.

We hope they would choose the best man. But there are no guarantees

There is no attempt to discuss the issues. Just whatever the Pope says goes even if he contradicts his predecessors.

This thinking is like a protestant mockery of Papal unfalliablity.

By only allowing old priests to say it because they were deemed to old to be re-educated is not evidence in your favour.

The Agatha Christi indult was a response to bad P.R. from high profile complaints about it's abolition.
