Last day of #TeacherAppreciationWeek and there's not enough days in the week to recognize everyone. In addition to the others I highlighted this week, the rest of my top ten includes names like Bourzikas, Watkins, Ribbing, Madsen, Vantine, and Manion. So much appreciation!
It's still #TeacherAppreciationWeek and today's guest of honor is my first grade teacher Elaine Unell (Mrs. Gold). I spent a lot of time listening to her play and sing music not realizing at the time she was teaching in a very creative way. She still inspires me to this day!
Today's #TeacherAppreciationWeek guest star is my high school choir teacher, Kay Wunder. Mickey is a very gifted musician and able to connect her students with musical pieces in meaningful ways. She welcomed all in her classroom and made sure we felt valued. A true icon!
Today's teacher during teacher appreciation week is Larry Gelbach. Although I only had one class with Larry he was a revered teacher in my high school and one who was always outgoing, always had a smile on his face, and always made class fun.

Each day this week I'll highlight a teacher who made an impact in my life. Social Studies teacher Dwayne Cease was a positive presence in my middle school years; providing encouraging words, and helping me understand and relate to the world around me.

it's too hot out? come work with me standing next to this 1625Β° pot of molten salt - most of the building is 10-20Β° warmer than opening your window to get your iced latte at starbucks - when we want to cool off we go outside...
