I have toured the private museum of Mao Zedong and received a souvenir book from its proprietor Mr. Zhang Lei. I am impressed by the personal enthusiasm displayed by Zhang on this project.
This afternoon I have renewed the MOU between Makerere University and Xiangtan University for the teaching of the Chinese language at Makerere. President Pan Biling and I agreed to extend our collaboration to other disciplines.
Xiangtan University and Makerere University signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation. In the future, the Faculty of Law of Xiangtan University will cooperate with the School of Law of Makerere University to cultivate high-level talents involved in the rule of law.
On the first day of the Makerere delegation visit to Xiangtan University in Hunan Province of China, I have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration on research in African Law and I have given a lecture on Makerereโs Role in Higher Education in Uganda.
