PANI is a well known anti corrosive material, so it may be effectively playing this role. Besides, PANI acts as a physical barrier, avoiding oxygen to reach BP.

We didn´t analyze deeply the scalable conditions, but I think it is possible and would be cheap if BP were synthesized, nowadays there is increasingly cheaper routes reported. We used a purchased material. This is in fact a path to be followed and investigated.
