The Democrat Party is in the process of being taken over by the Democrat Socialists of America (the "DSA").

The DSA is an explicitly Marxist organization.

Marxism has impoverished more people and genocidally murdered more of humanity than all other ideologies ever to exist in human history combined.

It is a grotesque form of evil that is wholly incompatible with the Constitution of the United States of America.

Marxism in all its forms must be reviled and publicly treated with the same disdain with which intelligent adults view Naziism, pedophilia, serial murderers and cannibalism.

Do not back down. Each and every time you encounter Marxism in any of its forms, please call it out for the evil that it is. It is a rapidly metastasizing cancer that can only be defeated by public awareness.

In 1825, a rich Welsh industrialist bought an entire American town to prove that socialism could work.

Turns out fewer than 1 man in 10 could vote in the year Britain banned the slave trade. No woman could. Your ancestors could hang for stealing a sheep, get shipped across the world for petty theft, or go down a mine at 8 years old. In Manchester, the average age of death in a labouring family was 17.

They weren't running the slave trade. They were underneath it too.

Which is what makes what happened next worth knowing.

In 1772 an enslaved man named James Somerset walked free from an English court, because English law couldn't hold a slave.

In 1791, 300,000 families just stopped buying slave sugar. No march, no riot, just a decision made at 300,000 kitchen tables.

In 1792, 519 petitions carrying 390,000 names hit Parliament, most signed by people who couldn't vote themselves.

In 1807, Britain banned the trade.

Then the slave owners sent Britain a bill for the 800,000 people they still held. 💷 £20 million. About 40% of the entire government budget at the time.

The Treasury says it wasn't paid off until 2015. So if your family paid British tax before then, they helped buy 800,000 people their freedom.

From 1808 the Royal Navy spent 60 years hunting slave ships at sea: 1,600 stopped, 150,000 people freed, and 1,600 British sailors dead, mostly of disease, buried thousands of miles from home. ⚓

In 1816 they ended two centuries of Barbary corsairs enslaving Europeans.

In 1896 a war that lasted 38 minutes ended slavery in Zanzibar. 🇹🇿

Almost every country on Earth outlaws slavery today.

That fight was paid for largely at British expense, by British hands.🇬🇧

So why haven't you heard any of this?

Because within living memory, someone rewrote the story. You got taught the crime. Not the cure.

The powerful exploited the world. They exploited their own people first. It was those people who ended slavery. 🇬🇧

Careful, Mark. What you're proposing is the very statism you claim to oppose.

"Change our laws to bar enemies from public office." Who decides who counts as an enemy? Once government can disqualify a candidate for his ideas, that power does not stay in your hands. The next administration defines "enemy" as you, and shuts you down by the precedent you built. This is exactly how every statist regime begins: banning the dangerous idea, then widening the definition until dissent itself is the crime.

You cannot defeat collectivism by adopting its central tool, force against ideas. That concedes the whole principle.

The answer is philosophical. Bad ideas are beaten by better ones, argued openly, grounded in reason and the honest recognition of reality. Defend the individual, name the collectivist premise for what it is, and win minds. That is slower than a ban.

It is also the only method that doesn't end with you on the list.

Carefully examine what these looters are pushing. Elon (@elonmusk) pays the maximum into a system he is forced to fund and will never be repaid for. Social Security was sold as a retirement plan the government would safeguard. It is a Ponzi scheme, running out of money, and now they want the power to seize and redistribute even more.

Start with your own dishonesty, Senator. Musk pays the same because the benefit is capped too. The most anyone collects is about $4,200 a month, no matter how much they pay in. The cap on contributions exists because the cap on benefits exists. You know this. You left it out, because the outrage doesn't survive the full sentence.

"Scrap the cap" means he pays vastly more and gets nothing additional back. That is not a contribution to his retirement. It is pure confiscation, the mask of "insurance" finally dropped.

And notice what you admit by needing his money at all. The system is broke. The Ponzi scheme has reached the stage where it must devour the productive to pay the promises it already can't keep. You are not fixing it. You are feeding more people into a machine you know is failing.

Here is the "fair share" you never mention: Musk is the single largest individual taxpayer in human history, funding your government by orders of magnitude more than the electrician you hide behind. He consumes none of it. He built the companies, the jobs, the wealth. His crime, in your eyes, is succeeding.

You don't want fairness. You want a producer to rob and a villain to sell. The electrician isn't your concern. He's your prop.
