Nigeria’s next president should integrate French language as a compulsory part of our school curriculums. Raising a generation of both English & French speakers will not only facilitate the union of Africa as a continent, but beyond & will bring limitless opportunities.

Africa with about 29 french speaking countries means learning this language perhaps has nothing to do with France but coming to terms with the very reality of our neighbours. It reduces the language barriers we encounter when we visit close neighbours like Cotonou and ultimately means Nigerians are a step ahead in any job role that has french as an added advantage, especially with international organizations like UN, ICC, UNICEF etc.

I don’t see any harm in doing this, but alot of benefits.
