This is what we wanted for 341 10th
Street, as laid out in our conditions when we voted on it at @BrooklynCB6 in December!
Big credit to @CMAlexaAviles & @ShahanaFromBK for getting it across the finish line! 👏👏👏

Comprehensive plan for BK from @ReynosoBrooklyn is must-read.
Incredibly important macro/BK-wide context. I.e., @BrooklynCB6 saw largest loss of housing supply; due to things like landmark regs & multi-family homes turning into single family.

Today, @ENERGY announced the women who will be receiving C3E awards at the C3E Symposium on September 27-28. "The 2023 C3E Awardees are changemakers having an impact across clean energy fields." Learn more about these amazing women: https://t.co/g2hBBHtbFu #C3Ewomen
Who would have thought one of the hardest parts of commissioning an #energystorage system in NYC would be the internet connection?! As of today , the Gerritsen Beach library is officially online! ✅✅✅

In this imperfect world, we do what we can to eliminate the gender perspective in the historically male-dominated energy field. Check out some of the electric ladies conquering energy storage in NYC, despite today's societal, technical, and regulatory barriers.

100% agree w/ @AntjeDanielson on climate change: "The question is one of speed and scale. The more we can help to make the connections even more visible and understood, the faster we get to the general acceptance that this is real..." #IWD2023 @C3E_EnergyWomen

There is a difference between stationary lithium-ion batteries and the lithium-ion batteries that are used in e-bikes. Bldg electrification measures are already highly regulated in NYC. Don't let this stop the push to decarbonize the grid. #batteryfire

Excited that @BrooklynCB6 Parks&Env Comm was joined by @LincolnRestler recently to talk regs for making PV less prohibitive! BKCB6 has one of the highest concentrations of resy rooftop PV in NYC & this bill will help many bldgs that couldn't go solar before bc of FDNY code.
More homeowners installing solar is a critical step to reducing our emissions.
But right now, outdated regulations make it way too hard for many New Yorkers. We introduced legislation to make it easier.
And at a time when every little bit counts, this would have a clear impact on our climate goals. Or in the words of @LynnJurich: “A lot of times people look at the home and the rooftop as a small solution, but it’s one of the fastest ways we can get more solar on the grid."
