Ein aktuelles Video von der Küste Teneriffas zeigt kein Urlaubsparadies mehr. Stattdessen eine dicht gedrängte Menschenmenge aus vorwiegend jungen Männern dunkler Hautfarbe, die die gesamte Promenade, die Felsen und den Strandabschnitt beherrschen.

Keine spanischen Familien. Keine europäischen Touristen. Keine klassischen Strandbesucher. Nur noch eine durchgehende Masse, die den Ort optisch und atmosphärisch komplett verändert hat.

Während Hotels und Vermieter noch vom „sonnigen Spanien“ träumen, dokumentiert dieses Material ungeschminkt, wie schnell sich das Gesicht einer Destination verändern kann – und wie wenig Kontrolle darüber offenbar noch besteht.

On September 2, large crowds gathered across Spain in support of Ceuta, filling public squares in cities including Madrid, Valencia, Zaragoza and Sevilla.

The nationwide demonstrations coincided with Día de Ceuta and followed the migration crisis that began in late July. Spanish flags, Ceuta flags and messages of support filled city centres across the country.

These images show just how large the mobilization became beyond Ceuta itself.
