@FelixSchlang are you on bluesky? There is an account named what about it with your picture as the pf pic, but i don’t want to follow them if its not you.
@VladVexler I feel like you have to be tremendously depoliticized to only listen to the parts that speak to your enragement and completely disregard the phobia towards your own personality .
@VladVexler Okay i get that, but voting for someone who is likely going to make your sexuality illegal or even criminal in the case of some European countries seems like self harm.
Its like if i would vote for someone who promised to throw all blonde haired people in jail
@smartereveryday Stupid Tweets by people who think they are smart but are really just confirming their own bias using false/un contextual charts and data.
@bennyjohnson It would be quite easy to proof reasonable doubt, because you can poll voter turnout, if the polling suggest turnout was higher than what the total amount of votes suggest, then they should definitely investigate.
@bennyjohnson It is still notable. I do think it is possible that 14 million people abstained from voting compared to the 2020 election.
I trust that the election comittee will investigate if there is reasonable doubt of fraud.
For example, an urgent issue arises, but society’s groups disagree on solutions due to false beliefs, lack of knowledge, conflicting incentives or something else. How do you address it? Show leadership, choose the best direction, and accept that some will be upset.
Hi @VladVexler, you mention that a political sin of centrists is pretending they've won an argument they haven’t. I see how this can be problematic and fuel populism, but isn’t this ultimately a result of our highly polarized societies?
@VladVexler I’m conflicted on an issue in my country. I am affiliated with the political party Volt in the Netherlands and I recently voted on a motion to make the Netherlands a republic instead of monarchy.
The confliction arises because I am worried getting rid of the monarchy is worse for the dutch democracy in short term. In my view the monarchy provides some sense of unity and it adds extra layers of bureaucracy that make it hard to degrade the democracy from within.
@VladVexler Are you following current Spanish politics? I am wondering if you think the right has a valid point by calling Pedro's amnesty undemocratic.
I feel it is dividing the country and breaking down healthy discussion and fear that Spain is close to a breaking point
@tldrben I would have preferred the daily discussion on @WatchNebula to be about Spain's elections.
Spain is a major economy in Europe and the result will have grave effects for Spanjards and Europe.
I couldn't care less about Elon or his questionable business decisions
