@gaykittycorps lowk one of my therapists did have a "have you tried not doing that" approach so I get how people get that idea after one bad therapist 😭
@m_10G_@cuyler_goure@c0wgirlonline I poorly worded my criticism, the woman in the video using the drug is whatever. I don't think she needs to lose weight but it's ultimately none of my business. my criticism is about an industry that thrives on degrading people.
@m_10G_@cuyler_goure@c0wgirlonline I don't have an issue with that but when the marketing explicitly targets insecure girls it becomes pretty shitty. people can gain or lose weight for whatever reason and using medications as tools, but ppl are (and always have been) judgemental towards people's bodies
@documense reminds me of this quote which I believe was originally a Tumblr post. I think transition is the radical and abrupt beginning of living for a lot of people
@_abyssmalbeings in this situation we tend to choose a nickname or new name, and use a picrew for pfp (I'd you're using pluralkit/sys management app) :)
@cuyler_goure@c0wgirlonline both fair points, tbh. I'm not against the drugs by any means. this ad just seems to be targeting insecure girls which is pretty scummy
@cuyler_goure@c0wgirlonline it's about the fact that this medication is made to treat diabetes and obesity and the girl in the video seems to have neither, and is encouraging weight loss to already thin girls
