@EdWhelanEPPC Well, yeah, but
(a) It depends how you define conservative, and
(b) by the definition I think you are using, there's only been a solid conservative majority since Barrett's appointment, so there's some tautology there.
@RockChartrand Dole - terrible at running for President, but most consequential Senator of his age. Dare I compare him to Clay?
McCain - Flawed, but dauntless advocate of Americanism and freedom worldwide, & moral conscience of his party & nation.
Mitt - a Republican with honor...the last?
@RockChartrand More modern guys:
Tom Dewey - Obviously came close. More or less created the post-FDR Republican party, especially the Eastern establishment wing.
Hubert Humphrey - last of the liberal hawks; a win in '68 & Democratic Party doesn't go as far left as it did after.
@EWErickson If he needs help in the restroom, just going right before/after relatively short hops should work.
I can't think of anything else right now, but please contact me with specific questions & I'll do my best to help.
Good luck to your dad and your uncle; I'll say a prayer (3/end)
@EWErickson Most airplanes have a mini wheelchair to get folks up and down the aisle.
I don't know the specific needs of your dad; using airplane toilets can be a problem for many. It sounds like the time in the air shouldn't be very long, staying in the SE corner of the USA. (2/n)
@jbhenchman Only officials in line of succession not there (I believe):
President pro Tempore of the Senate Chuck Grassley (in Iowa)
Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins (daughter's H.S. prom)
HUD Secretary Scott Turner
VA Secretary Doug Collins
@TheMattCanada@kendallbaker I was talking University of Pennsylvania not the state of Pennsylvania.
Presidents William Henry Harrison (briefly) & Trump attended U. Penn, but AFAIK no Penn Quaker quarterback was ever on a SB winner.
