We’re popping in tonight, witches, in support of the new (and apparently already huge) US boycott of ABC Media, which includes Disney Plus and other associated companies.

This is because of the sacking today of presenter Jimmy Kimmel after threats to the network by Trump, and follows the similar sacking of Stephen Colbert and a number of US journalists because of reporting or comments about either genocide in Palestine or Charlie Kirk’s death.

Witches should already be boycotting Disney Plus as they’re a major supporter of Kyle and Jackie’s show, but in case you’re not: do so now. And any other companies on the list below which operate wherever you are. There’s also a new boycott starting of advertisers on these networks, and when we know more we’ll bring you more news on this.

And if you think these new sackings in the USA aren’t our MFW remit: you’re dead fucking wrong. Consumer boycotts are the ONLY non-violent, effective action which puts pressure on the cunts who want to rule us all. And the ONLY action which supports Australia’s (as-yet) stronger workplace laws and (so-far) less fascist leaders, but we all know these advantages could be quickly eroded and must be fought for.

This is why it’s so crucial we all keep going. It’s also why we stand in solidarity with other campaigns, because on our own we’re all virtually powerless but together, we can literally change the planet.

Boycott Disney. Boycott their advertisers, when we tell you who they are. Most importantly: TELL THEM WHY. Including tagging them on this thread.

MFW will not be distracted from our crucial work getting rid of Australia’s arsey bastards, but will also stand up for others bravely speaking truth to power.

After posting just this morning about ARN/KiisFM lying to their own advertisers repeatedly now, witches, here’s yet more evidence of how much they’re prepared to tell bare-faced lies to the very people who fund their depravity.

The screenshots below tell the story of how they’ve lied to former advertiser @Carma_au (who we aren’t accusing of ANY wrongdoing here, to be clear), as follows:

1. Carma’s original withdrawal was prompt and polite back in December 2024, so we posted them as Withdrawal 421 within just 2 days of hearing their ad on December 16th.

2. This email received by us this morning explains how ARN have told Carma their ad appeared after the Kyle and Jackie show ended on that date, purportedly because “the show ran over and some advertising fell within that overlap”.

3. This is our witchy listener’s hand-written list of recorded advertisers on December 16th, which clearly shows Carma’s advertisement appeared in an ad spot at 8am: so smack-bang in the MIDDLE of the K and J broadcast, NOT after the show had ended.

Fuck, these people at ARN just won’t stop lying. They’re out to make us look stupid, incompetent and unreasonable, and a lot of companies (and even a lot of witches) are believing these lies.

For a start, we don’t record advertisers from before 6am or after 10am. Why would we? We don’t want there to be more advertisers on the show than there already are, and thus have no reason to misrepresent when an ad appears.

Secondly, it strikes us as frustrating and unfair that far too many people accept ARN/KiisFM are telling the truth in these situations rather than us. We get many emails now from witches angry we’re misrepresenting advertisers, and even more from advertisers themselves furious with us for correctly telling them their ads are being played when ARN say they’re not.

ARN get away with making us out to be the liars because it seems more reasonable to believe a corporation than a bunch of angry sweary women. And they rely on this common (yet essentially misogynistic and classist) belief to the hilt. We’re seen as rabble, ridiculous, and mad unhinged activists who can’t be trusted to run this campaign so of course we’re messing up our ad lists (rather than the truth, which is that ARN are a bunch of pricks who’ll do or say virtually anything to keep their profits up).

It’s infuriating, and once again we ask witches (and corporations) to refuse to automatically believe the word of this bunch of media wankers over the intelligent, determined and wholly ethical actions of we witches. And while some might say this issue is minor, it’s in no way minor that ARN are now using people’s patriarchal internalised misogyny (on top of all their other horrific transgressions) to try to reduce the impact of our campaigns.

Once again, we ask companies who are being lied to to please remove their entire ad spend from ARN in protest. Why the hell do they persist in funding a corporation which not only keeps repeatedly deceiving them but which employs a woman-hater like Kyle? It makes no sense to us. But then what would we useless pearl-clutchers know?
