About 98% of these people who say the Antichrist Power is not the Papacy or that the Power is Islam, never even studied the Antichrist Power. That is why they do not know the difference between the Antichrist Power and just anyone who is anti Christ. If they knew prophecy, they would also know that the Antichrist Power doesn't earn the name because a group is a terror group or because you do not like the person. Antichrist Power is a political religious power who will use exersion to force and command worship. John does not stutter. In Revelation it explicitly states that the last battle is about worship. This isn't rocket science. Just actually study Daniel and Revelation and stop guessing!
Here is real research!
The Antichrist
In my own research, I have found that when it comes to Bible prophecy, God often does not name names. Instead, He gives a description. He tells us where a power comes from, what it does, what it teaches, how it treats God's people, how long it exists, and what happens to it in the end.
Moreover, God usually gives these details in different places throughout the Bible. One passage gives one clue, while another passage gives another clue. As we put the clues together, a picture begins to form.
Furthermore, when studying prophecy, we should not decide on an answer first and then look for verses to support it. We should, on the other hand, let the Bible build the picture for us. Then we compare that picture with history to see who fits the description.
Just like a police sketch, a witness may not know a person's name, but they can describe the person's height, hair, face, clothing, and other features. The more details they give, the easier it becomes to identify the right person.
Bible prophecy works the same way. God gives many identifying marks. One or two marks may fit several powers. However, when all the marks are put together, only one power will fit the entire description. That is how and why prophecy is meant to be studied.
Applying this paradigm to the Antichrist Power, Scripture again, begins by giving a profile. We do not start with Papal Rome. We will start with the Bible, to find out who fits every mark.
1. The beast rises from Rome.
Daniel saw four kingdoms:
Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome.
The little horn rises after Rome, among the divided kingdoms of Rome. Daniel 7:7–8, 23–24.
This means the Antichrist power must rise out of the Roman world, after pagan Rome breaks apart.
That already rules out Islam, modern atheism, America, and one future man.
2. It is not just political. It is religious.
Daniel says this power speaks “great words against the Most High” and attacks God’s people. Daniel 7:25.
Revelation says the beast receives worship. Revelation 13:4, 8.
This is therefore, a church-state power. Political authority with religious claims.
The papacy fits that exactly.
3. It rises among ten kingdoms.
Daniel says Rome would divide into ten horns. Daniel 7:24.
History shows Western Rome divided into kingdoms. Then the little horn rose among them.
The bishop of Rome did not rise in China, India, or Babylon. He rose in Western Europe, right where the Roman Empire divided.
4. Three horns are removed.
Daniel says three kingdoms fall before this power. Daniel 7:8, 24.
The Heruli, Vandals, and Ostrogoths opposed Rome’s religious authority and were removed, wiped out from history.
Most people miss this point because from here they jump straight to Revelation and skip Daniel. Revelation repeats Daniel. It does not replace it.
5. It claims authority over God’s law.
Daniel says this power would “think to change times and law.” Daniel 7:25.
This is not referring to civil law. This is referring to God’s law.
The papal system openly claims authority in religious law, worship, and sacred time. The Sabbath commandment points to God’s authority as Creator. Rome claims Sunday sacredness by church authority. This is one of the strongest marks.
6. It persecutes the saints.
Daniel 7:25 says this power wears out the saints.
Revelation 13:7 says it makes war with the saints.
This is not a small group with no power. This power persecutes over a long period of time. The medieval papal system used church and state power against dissenters, Bible believers, and reformers.
Furthermore, Revelation calls this power drunk with the blood of the saints. Revelation 17:6.
7. It rules for 1260 prophetic days.
Daniel says “time, times, and half a time.” Daniel 7:25.
Revelation says 42 months. Revelation 13:5. Revelation also says 1260 days. Revelation 12:6. This is the same period of time.
Using the Bible’s prophetic day-for-a-year principle, this equals 1260 years. See Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6.
The papacy’s long political-religious dominance fits this period better than any other power.
8. It receives a deadly wound, then the wound heals.
Revelation 13:3 says the beast receives a deadly wound, then the wound heals.
The papacy lost civil power when the pope was taken captive in 1798. That was a wound.
However, the papacy did not disappear. Its influence returned. Today, world leaders still visit Rome. The pope speaks to nations. Religious and political power are joining hands again.
That fits Revelation 13.
9. It sits on seven hills.
Revelation 17:9 says the woman sits on seven mountains. Rome is famously the city of seven hills.
This is not a mystery when Daniel already describes the power as being part of the Roman world.
10. It is a “mother” church.
Revelation 17:5 calls her Mother of Harlots.
That means she has daughters. She is not just a pagan empire. She is a corrupted religious system that produces other corrupted systems.
Furthermore, the woman is dressed in purple and scarlet, has a golden cup, and is connected with kings. Revelation 17:4.
That is religious Rome with political influence.
11. It blasphemes.
In Scripture, blasphemy includes claiming God’s place and claiming power to forgive sins. See John 10:33 and Mark 2:7.
The papal system places a man as universal head of the church, claims priestly power over forgiveness, and gives religious authority to traditions above Scripture.
This fits the Bible’s definition.
12. It looks Christian, not openly pagan.
Many people do not realize that Antichrist does not only mean openly anti-God. It also means one who stands in the place of Christ.
Paul says the man of sin sits “in the temple of God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4.
That means the Antichrist is inside religion, not outside it.
The papal system claims to represent Christ while taking titles, powers, and authority that belong to Christ alone.
Conclusion
From Scripture alone, the Antichrist/beast power must be:
1. Roman
2. Religious and political.
3. Rose after Rome divided
among the ten kingdoms,
removing three powers.
4. Have persecuted saints.
5. Ruled for 1260 years.
6. Claims authority over God’s law.
7. Have received a deadly wound.
8. Recovered global influence.
8. Sits in the city of seven hills.
9. Acting as a mother church.
10. Claim powers that belong to God.
This is the picture the Bible draws. History then shows the face. We then look at history and ask, who fits the description? Only the papal system fits every mark. Not one mark, and not just three marks. The papacy fits all of them.
I’m not really concerned that Japan will dump Treasuries.
The real issue is a coin toss: who defaults first, Japan or Europe?
If Japan ends up in crisis, the real concern is not that it sells Treasuries.
The real concern is that it ends up in default, it turns into contagion, and traders say, ‘Who’s next?’
Then they look for other countries in trouble, short them, and the whole sovereign-debt structure falls apart.
Absolutely 100% correct.
Brent Johnson said it brilliantly yesterday, "The U.S. is transitioning from a Democratic Republic to a 'Technocratic' Empire the same way the Roman Republic transitioned to the Roman Empire."
That's why this global conflict will be remembered as WW3.
There is NO secret rapture
Jesus returns once—LOUD, visible, glorious—not in some quiet sneak-away.
- He descends with a SHOUT, the voice of the archangel, and the TRUMPET of God (1 Thess 4:16). Nothing "secret" about a trumpet blast that wakes the dead!
- Every eye will see Him (Rev 1:7). Not just believers—EVERY eye.
- The dead in Christ rise FIRST, then we who are alive are caught up to meet Him (1 Thess 4:17). This happens at His coming, not 7 years before.
- Jesus Himself said: "Immediately AFTER the tribulation... they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds... and He will send out His angels... and gather His elect" (Matt 24:29-31). After. Not before.
The "secret rapture" idea? 19th-century invention, not ancient church teaching. It leaves people unprepared for persecution, expecting escape instead of endurance.
"He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt 24:13). Not "he who gets raptured early."
Ready or not—He's coming back ONE TIME, publicly, powerfully. No dress rehearsal. No second chance. No secret exit door.
Maranatha—but let's get ready for the real thing. ⚔️
The Bible says the Antichrist power is a religio-political power. This means it functions as both a church and a state.
The only small, global entity that functions as both a church and a state is the Vatican, specifically the Papacy.
The Papacy is:
1. A sovereign political state, Vatican City.
2. A global religious authority.
3. Has a seat at the United Nations.
4. Recognized diplomatically by nations around the world.
5. Headed by a religious leader who is also a head of state, which is why he can address Congress.
The combination above, religious authority plus political sovereignty, is unique on the world stage. In other words no other global church is also both a sovereign nation and state.
When the Bible speaks, listen!
@OlooneyJohn You are right, their solution will be one world solution, it will be uniting under church and state together with worship rules for Sunday, instead of Gods sabbath laws, this will be the mark of the beast. Choose btw man’s law, Sunday or Gods sabbath 🙏
At the very end of Psalm 119, after 175 verses rejoicing in the beauty, truth, and life-giving power of the Word of God, we arrive at a strikingly honest confession: “I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant” (Psalm 119:176).
How fitting is that?
After walking such a long road paved with divine instruction, praise, and devotion, here we are, lost. If there were ever a time when we shouldn’t be going astray, surely it would be now, at the culmination of the longest psalm, a sustained meditation on the very thing that guides us.
Yet even on this well-lit path, we wander.
We are stubborn, forgetful, easily distracted sheep. We veer off the trail to nibble on weeds that look greener, only to find they are poisonous. Our Shepherd calls, but we are too enchanted by shadows to heed his voice.
We do not fall off the path only in moments of darkness or despair; we stray even in the light, even in the presence of truth.
So Isaiah is blunt: “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6). No exceptions. Each sheep believes his path is best. One wanders into the den of wolves. Another totters on a cliff’s edge, moments from a fall. Another lies stuck in the mire, bleating for help.
And what does God do? He doesn’t send a map so lost sheep can find their way home. He doesn’t shout from the heavens, “Try harder!” He sends a Shepherd. But not only that—this Shepherd becomes the Lamb. “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).
He doesn’t wait for us to want salvation. He comes unbidden. He comes determined.
Jesus has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:4–5).
And this did not begin at the cross. Matthew 8 tells us that when Jesus healed the sick and drove out demons, he was already fulfilling Isaiah 53: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases” (Matthew 8:16–17).
From the moment he stepped into this fallen world, Jesus was absorbing our pain, taking it into himself. His entire life was a slow, steady pouring out. He was taking our death even as we were receiving his life.
This is the great exchange. His righteousness for our sin. His wounds for our healing. All the bad that we are, he takes as his own. All the good that he is, he gives to us as our own. So that we might be forever his: lambs in his arms, sheep in his pasture.

Catholic Quotes about the Sabbath:
https://t.co/yQOO7tHOIt
"The [Roman Catholic] Church changed the observance of the Sabbath to Sunday by right of the divine, infallible authority given to her by her founder, Jesus Christ. The Protestant claiming the Bible to be the only guide of faith has no warrant for observing Sunday. In this matter, the Seventh-day Adventist is the only consistent Protestant."
—The Catholic Universe Bulletin, August 14, 1942, p. 4.
"Protestants ... accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change... But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that ... in observing Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope."
—Our Sunday Visitor, February 5th, 1950.
"It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church."
—Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903.
The Bible says the Beast aka Antichrist Power is both a church and a kingdom
(Revelation 17:3, Revelation 17:18, Daniel 7:17, Daniel 7:23).
The Bible says the Beast aka Antichrist Power sits on seven hills
(Revelation 17:9).
The Bible says the Beast aka Antichrist Power sits in a temple as if he is God
(2 Thessalonians 2:3–4).
The Bible says the Beast aka Antichrist Power is a wealthy. Hence the golden cup
(Revelation 17:4).
The Bible says the Beast aka Antichrist Power is clothed in scarlet and purple
(Revelation 17:4).
The Bible says the Beast aka Antichrist Power claims authority over forgiveness of sins
(Mark 2:7, applied in contrast with blasphemous claims in Daniel 7:25 and 2 Thessalonians 2:4).
The Bible says the Beast aka Antichrist Power persecuted God’s people
(Daniel 7:21, Revelation 13:7, Revelation 17:6).
Lots more point tell exactly who this power is.
(Daniel 7, Revelation 13, Revelation 17, 2 Thessalonians 2).
After-all of these clues! People say:
It’s Trump!
It’s Islam!
It’s Obama!
It’s Elon!
It’s the Jews!
The Antichrist isn’t here yet!
You will not recognize the mark if you do not first understand who the beast aka the Antichrist is!
(Revelation 13:16–18).
The Antichrist Power.
Daniel gives nine identifying marks:
A. It rises among the ten horns, meaning among the kingdoms of Western Europe (Daniel 7:8).
B. It has a man at its head who speaks for it (Daniel 7:8).
C. It uproots three kingdoms (Daniel 7:8).
D. It is different from the other kingdoms (Daniel 7:24).
E. It persecutes God’s people (Daniel 7:21, 25).
F. It comes out of pagan Rome, the fourth empire (Daniel 7:7–8).
G. It rules over the saints for “a time, times, and half a time” (Daniel 7:25).
H. It speaks blasphemies against God (Daniel 7:25; Revelation 13:5).
I. It tries to change times and laws (Daniel 7:25).
Further Explanation:
A. Location
The papacy arose in Rome, Italy, right in Western Europe.
B. One spokesman
The papacy has a single visible head, the pope.
C. Three kingdoms removed
Three Arian kingdoms opposed papal authority, the Heruli, Vandals, and Ostrogoths. Catholic emperors later defeated them:
“Thus were Daniel’s three horns—the Heruls, the Vandals, and the Ostrogoths—‘plucked up by the roots.’”
— God Cares, Dr. Mervyn Maxwell, vol. 1, p. 129.
D. Different kind of power
Unlike the others, this kingdom mixed religion and civil authority.
E. Persecution
Historians have estimated tens of millions died during medieval religious persecutions:
— Halley’s Bible Handbook, 1965 ed., p. 726.
F. Came from Rome
“The mighty Catholic Church was little more than the Roman Empire baptised…”
— Alexander Clarence Flick, The Rise of the Medieval Church, pp. 148–149.
The 1,260 Year Time Period
Daniel’s “time, times, and half a time” equals three and a half years (Daniel 7:25). That same period appears elsewhere as:
• 42 months (Revelation 11:2; 13:5)
• 1,260 days (Revelation 11:3; 12:6)
Using the prophetic day-for-a-year principle (Ezekiel 4:6; Numbers 14:34):
1,260 days = 1,260 years.
Adventists date this from A.D. 538 to 1798, ending when Napoleon’s general Berthier captured Pope Pius VI.
Jesus referenced this persecution period in Matthew 24:21–22 and said God shortened it.
Blasphemy Defined in Scripture
The Bible defines blasphemy in two ways:
• claiming power to forgive sins (Luke 5:21)
• claiming divine status (John 10:33)
Historical Catholic writings are cited:
“The Priest does really and truly forgive the sins…”
— Joseph Deharbe, A Complete Catechism, 1924, p. 279.
“We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.”
— Pope Leo XIII, The Reunion of Christendom, 1894.
“The pope… is Jesus Christ Himself…”
— Catholic National, July 1895.
Changing God’s Law
Daniel says this power would attempt to change “times and laws” (Daniel 7:25).
Catholic catechisms modified the Ten Commandments and claim authority for Sunday worship:
“The Church… ordained that the celebration of the Sabbath day should be transferred to ‘the Lord’s day.’”
— Catechism of the Council of Trent, Donovan translation, 1829, p. 358.
Summary
Daniel 7’s “little horn” points to the papal system, not individual Catholics. Early Protestant Reformers made similar claims:
— R. Allen Anderson, Unfolding the Revelation, p. 137.
There are still sincere Christians in every church. God calls His people out of corrupt systems (Revelation 18:4). Christ has faithful followers everywhere (John 10:16).
