Bold, angry, and unlike any revenge film you’ve seen before, IS GOD IS powerfully announces Aleshea Harris as a special new voice in filmmaking. Adapting her own stage play for the screen, Harris infuses the film with rage, compassion, and an undeniable love for Quentin Tarantino while still crafting something wholly original that entertains as much as it provokes with its many complex themes. Every performance feels perfectly attuned to Harris’ singular vision, with Kara Young and Mallori Johnson leading the charge as one of the year’s best on-screen duos. The makeup work is phenomenal as well. Definitely seek this one out.

Loved it. Ending was predictable, but wouldn’t want it any other way. Spectacular acting.
I was a fan of Curry Barker when he made funny videos on YT. From the first shot it was all Curry, on the phone it was his voice so that was exciting.
