Their set reminded me of fandom itself at its best: interactive, enthusiastic, and kind.
And @queerwitches was *amazing*, I want to rec her to everyone I know. Fans are so talented, y'all. <3
Dusting off my twitter here to say I had a lovely time at a Harry and the Potters concert tonight! I just happened to see on twitter that there was a @hatp show tonight in an area I was passing through, and I'm so glad I did.
@bironicwastaken @Jetpack_Monkey @thirdmouse@VividCon The con spaces are usually cooler when empty, but if they are cold when full, I think we can adjust. Be prepared for those rooms to get warmer when everyone packs in, though. The halls/lobby (outside our control) I haven't found cold, but obv. ymmv with temperature.
Another general @VividCon reminder: hug stickers won't be out until reg tomorrow, so in the meantime, don't forget to ask whether or not someone wants a hug! Not everyone welcomes hugs, please respect everyone's needs and boundaries.
Reminder to everyone going to @VividCon: Do not put your room numbers in the hashtag. Do not announce room party locations in the hashtag. You can advertise room parties on the con suite board, by word of mouth, etc, but remember twitter is public.
(On the preservation of Delicious & content remaining available): "It's not going to be, like, Geocities, where--"
[collective groan]
"And the wake for Geocities begins now."
#Wiscon LiveJournal wake
I didn't make it very long at the Wiscon vid party last night (exhaustion + eyestrain), but I had fun! This morning I went to the sports panel for a bit and made an art show purchase of a lovely print by this artist: https://t.co/JtxQbcxHDc
I've attended two panels, agonized over sticker placement on my badge, repeatedly failed to nap, and at dinner I had cheese curds for the first time ever. Next: vid party!
