Just turned off the last FTP server I was helping to maintain. Yes, on midnight of Halloween. We have been warning users for 2 years. I am going to assume we will have a flood of emails on Monday morning. Good thing I have a whole box of Kit Kats. #sysadmin

Is it bad I actually liked physically going into work today, because it meant #1 I wouldn't read emails for a few hours and #2 I didn't have to sit in front of the computer all day, like I have since March? However, I am sore from lifting computers and doing hardware stuff.

I am starting off my New Year with a clean slate-- Last Solaris machine off network in Sept, all Solaris hardware sent to excess before Christmas. I even got to drill holes in the disks for security. Yay! #sysadmin
