Avi Lewis: "The separation movement in Alberta has no point of comparison with the historic sovereignty movement in Quebec. This is a MAGA aligned, potentially funded, disruptive movement that has been really thrown into national prominence by Danielle Smith."
Thousands of protesters accused the Ford government of privatizing public hospitals at a rally at Queen’s Park on Thursday.
Given the government’s significant investments in private clinics, I ask the health minister if Ontario is now operating a two-tier health-care system:
NEW: An exhaustive review of roughly 200 flights in Doug Ford’s calendars reveal he essentially stopped flying commercial in late 2025, switching almost entirely to private flights.
Opposition blasted him during question period, but Ford insists he’s better than former premiers
Massive geopolitical shift. Pope Leo officially equates artificial intelligence with the catastrophic threat of nuclear weapons.
He demands immediate global disarmament to stop tech elites from using AI as an instrument of absolute domination & death.
AI used in Gaza & Iran war
“We own the fucking house and yet we have a king Ford in the house who’s taking over and is shunning all the rules of a normal democracy, and it leads me to think only one thing: Ford’s got a fucking shit load of stuff to hide!”

BREAKING:
Doug Ford cellphone records on the Greenbelt must be released the court rules.
But his retroactive law to keep gov records secret may lead to yet another Ford lawsuit.
Who's paying for all his lawsuits? Well we all are of course...
Moments ago: Premier Ford won’t commit to paying taxpayers back the $200K spent on private jet fees, calling the controversy an “old story.”
He says he’s already saved taxpayers “millions of dollars” by flying commercial over the years & only charters flights “when needed.”
Remember the Ford government's ill-fated blue licence plates?
The Canadian Press filed an FOI request for information related to the recall and was backed up by the IPC.
Now the Ford government is taking that to court (again)

It’s a relief to hear the Prime Minister express some moral outrage over Ben-Gvir’s brutish behaviour, outrage which has been missing during Israel’s attack on Iran, bombardment of Lebanon and ongoing genocide in Gaza.
But strong words must be followed by strong action. Sanctioning individual ministers is not enough when this cruelty is mirrored in Israeli state policy. Close the loophole on arms sales, cancel the free trade agreement and use every tool in Canada’s diplomatic arsenal to end Israel’s impunity.
The Ford government proposes to have jets landing 200 metres from an elementary school every two and half minutes.
Would you send your children to that school?

Ontario students with disabilities are being failed by Doug Ford's government.
School boards are required by law to submit special education plans every year.
74% of the plans submitted for 2025–26 flagged serious issues that required Ministry action.
There's no evidence the Minister of Education even looked at them.
The government isn't funding special education based on student need. Students are waiting over a year for assessments. Kids are being sent home because schools can't support them.
This is a total failure.
Doug Ford didn’t “fix” Ontario healthcare. He systematically underfunded it, overwhelmed it, and pushed it toward collapse while pretending everything was under control.
ER wait times are exploding. Hospitals are running deficits. Nurses and healthcare workers are burnt out and leaving in droves. Patients are suffering.
This is what happens when a government treats public healthcare like a business expense instead of a public service. Doug Ford needs to go.
Less than 1% of OSAP was wrongly issued. Doug Ford invented a crisis to cut student aid...then spent $30M on a private jet. Wrong priorities. Wrong premier.
A large data center in Fayetteville, Georgia, used more than 29 million gallons of water over many months while the local water company was unaware and did not send a bill at first.
Residents in the Annelise Park neighborhood complained about low water pressure, which revealed the issue.
The QTS data center sits on 615 acres with two large water pipes that were improperly installed, as one was added without notifying the water company. Most water was used during construction for pouring concrete and controlling dust.
After the error was discovered, QTS received a bill for about $150,000
The company says that once fully operational, it will use a closed-loop cooling system requiring very little water each month.
As a result, the Fayetteville City Council voted to ban all new data centers in the city.
FYI: 🇺🇸 A massive data center campus in Fayetteville, Georgia, secretly drained nearly 30 million gallons of water before residents noticed a drop in their own water pressure.
The "unaccounted-for" consumption has sparked a local firestorm:
Illegal Hookups: Utility investigators discovered two industrial water connections feeding the QTS campus that were either installed without permission or not linked to a billing account.
Massive Waste: The facility used enough water to fill 44 Olympic-size swimming pools, totaling $147,474 in retroactive charges that went unbilled for months.
Citizen Outrage: Residents in the Annelise Park subdivision were told to stop watering their lawns to conserve water while the data center, the county's #1 water consumer, was draining the system for free.
"Partnership" Over Penalties: Despite the breach, the county utility declined to fine the developer, calling the company a "partner" and citing a lack of staff to monitor the site.
Total Ban: In response to the scandal and ongoing drought conditions, the Fayetteville City Council voted last month to ban new data centers in every zoning district across the city.
The developer, owned by Blackstone, claims the high usage was for temporary construction, but local advocates argue the facility is "above the law" while the state faces severe wildfire risks.
Mark Zuckerberg built a MASSIVE data center in Georgia
Just hundreds of yards from people’s homes.
Water pressure collapsed. Sinks don’t run. Toilets won’t refill. Homes shake nonstop. Power outages are common
