It's time to reconsider our education system.
We must focus on nurturing children's confidence, coping skills, and resilience. It's crucial that children find joy in their school experience!
As always the sewing area is a popular area within our setting. The children have been building their sewing skills using the A frame to sew beads and buttons onto the hessian.

@emmccatt I think anyone that disagrees with spreading the holidays more evenly across the year, has never taught a 13 week term… with only May Day off 😭🤯
@adamboxer1 The world around teaching has moved on very quickly. Flexible working with good pay, benefits and lack of stress is really achievable for people with a degree who work a lot less than teachers do.
It is very concerning and we must protect all who are in the profession.
@Istimrar I’m actually gobsmacked at this, and can imagine the horror if you were suffering from a bowel condition or heavy period and had the whole school listening in as they congregated for the toilet or were transitioning to class together. I wonder if this school is aware of UNCRC?
@SFL2326 Obvious question but how is this regime preparing your young people for the real world? Which work place (apart from teaching) gives time slots to use
the toilet? I applaud your confidence in posting this but this scenario is beyond weird 😢
I heard recently "we need to be able to promote play versus traditional education." I think really we need to change the popular narrative so people recognise that play isn't revolutionary. Play actually is evolutionary- it is traditional education. @UpstartScot@suzannezeedyk
