my heart is broken. today i had one of those book events that authors of color warn each other early about, and that we hope no one else has to ever endure

@SenatorTester What about the small businesses that want to require vaccination for their employees or customers, but are prohibited by MT's government from doing so?
@jrcflatheadmemo The first one - I can barely see the distinction in the gray map, and the other is really glaring and almost makes it look like the reservations are part of the western MT district.
Imagine being a refugee from #Afghanistan, and being told you're getting resettled in the state @RepRosendale represents. 😕 Thank goodness for organizations like @SoftLanding_MSO that welcome the refugees our elected official tried to refuse. #Montana
There are many aid workers who do noble, honest work in appalling conditions. Also true that being an aid worker doesn't guarantee someone is any more honest or noble than average person. They also need to be watched, particularly b/c of power they have over desperate people 👇

@guidopalazzo @jt_kerwin 100%. My Montana hometown is in upheaval right now because (gasp!) the hospital is trying to mandate vaccines for employees. The state leg is trying to pass a law that would prohibit the requirement (violating federal law?). Anti-vaxxers are out in droves, it's a nightmare.
@citizen_crystal @Wolfe321 I would never support actually shaming anyone, but I don't at all think that's what Lauren was doing, and I largely find that "thin shaming" and "reverse racism" are cut from the same cloth.
