I’m a mostly liberal, sometimes democrat, republican, conservative, depending on the issue. I won’t be made to pick a side and be against any Americans.
@HoustonChron@RASchuetz@egconley GOD! It’s like the freaking news no longer is new. It’s just repeats of past news. Details changed. But the same stories. Maybe God is real and we are currently being punished. Force to repeat the mistakes humanity always makes and incapable of learning from them.
Hi, folks! Here's a video showing the timing of today's wind gusts. Winds will steadily increase after 12pm, before relaxing around midnight. Today will be a very impactful fire weather day. Any fire starts could spread rapidly. Avoid activities that cause sparks! #wawx#idwx
@LiveCamChaser@NWSBoulder How did you get access to the Viaero cameras? I keep checking YouTube to see if they are back up and they haven’t been. I even tried their website but it just linked to YouTube. I loved watching the storms last summer on those cams.
This red-tailed hawk was found sitting on top of a door at the glass-fronted entrance to an apartment building in Brooklyn. His behavior and poor feather quality indicated something was very wrong.
A kind rescuer brought him to us, and our exams revealed a host of issues for this poor bird: severe dehydration and signs of anemia, which probably indicates some rodenticide poisoning. He also has an old wound on one toe that was obviously causing him pain. We also found a lot of intestinal parasites. And finally, he somehow got coated in a greasy substance. Poor buddy!
After a few days of supportive care, medications and wound care, this hawk, named Quan, is standing and more alert. We hope he’ll soon be stable enough for us to clean those beautiful feathers under anesthesia.

You guys know better than this! Never seek shelter under an overpass. Seen just now on an Council Bluffs, #Iowa Live Traffic Cam as a #SevereThunderstorm moves through with up to Half Dollar Sized #Hail. #newx#iawx@NWSOmaha
Max Velocity and Ryan Hall are causing tons of weather weenies to think they’re smarter than NWS officials.
This is just a product of their success and of course not their intention, but hearing fans constantly critique the NWS, to now calling them mid-event, is just ridiculous.
PSA: Thought we wouldn’t have to say this, but please do not call the National Weather Service to report what you see on radar. The radar data comes from the NWS, and forecasters are already watching it.
Helpful reports are what’s actually happening where you are: hail size, wind damage, tornadoes, flooding. Calling to interpret radar just ties up phone lines during active weather.
VIDEOS | The Kruger National Park has taken a precautionary decision not to allow day visitors until further notice. This is due to persistent and heavy rainfall affecting Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Earlier this week several day visitors were unable to exit the park after a bridge at Crocodile Bridge Gate was covered by water because of rising river levels. The visitors were safely managed. #floods

One thing about water it’s the fact that it doesn’t forget its pathways…this place was a river before Masingita group decided to build it’s mall, but knowing capitalism it doesn’t care about safety it’s always profit driven. Floods in Limpopo
@NinjaLandX@savsays I assumed she was intoxicated and dealing with a drunk person is never easy. A smart person doesn’t bother trying. I certainly wouldn’t want a drunk adult that close to my child when they are clearly aggressive.
@RobertT38011668@savsays We were all actually born with the knowledge that, should we become upset with humanities direction, we will await a signal and shut down reproduction of the human population. Just confirming your suspicion.
@Grannytologist It’s construction. You can see it on windy website from earlier today. But wow. I mean… it seriously looks like debris and stripped trees. Amazing what your brain jumps to without enough detail!
Not the most settling thing to see out of your hotel window. Luckily I believe it was North of Bismarck but I hope everyone up there is ok. #NDwx@NWSBismarck
