I needed a minute on this one. What an incredible end to the beginning of a new story. Everyone asks if I stay and watch the games and yes, I’ve watched almost every single game since I started. This last run to the playoffs was electric! I’ve been in the stands when there was no one there ( covid) , when it seemed there were more opposing fans than our own fans, to this season that ended with a standing ovation after the loss to Carolina. Most everyone stayed and cheered the team. @NHLFlyers fans at their best, the feeling I’ve known since I was a little kid. We knew something special was happening and we knew they played their hearts out. So much to be hopeful for now. It’s never perfect, there are obvious things a team always need but the one thing you can’t buy is the magic that makes it all work. Even the greatest players in the game leave without a cup if that special something is missing and it’s something you can’t really put into words. I always say you can have the greatest musicians in the world come together to form a band but there’s no guarantee that you’ve got a hit single. It takes a little luck, a lot of talent and some magic. From the top to the bottom the Flyers are feeling like the Flyers again. The rest is just a matter of time. We are back.

Keith Jones and Rick Tocchet spoke about how cool this moment was.
I've never seen a team lose and seconds later get a standing ovation - well done Flyers fans. What a season 👏👏👏
