Parents:

Be very, very selective and careful about childhood sleepovers. Very careful.

It takes one kid's smart phone to put images into your child's mind that will last a lifetime.

It takes one older-brother's friend to take your child's innocence forever.

It takes one adult's lapse in judgement or character to powerfully impact your child in a negative way.

If you choose sleepovers for your kids, do not be afraid to ask hard questions about personal and digital safety. Be upfront about your expectations.

And always let your child know you'll pick them up at any time of the night, for any reason.

Never let your child feel they're on their own.

@elonmusk Yep. Audited and paid the fines …paid them once and the letters came again and again. What started out as a small mistake ended up huge fine because of the interest charges from the years passed from the date of the error. Turns out my tax dollars traveled more than I did.

Car rental company then says I have to return the car with a full charge…um how the heck is that even possible? I am only wondering if I said I was going far if I would’ve been able to score the Tesla and actually enjoy the journey aside from worrying if I would be stranded.

Freaking out I then used the navigation tool to find a charger. Yep. Tough because many were in use. Pay to park. Pay to charge and it took more than 2 hours to get the battery to 76 percent…

She talked me into a BMW Xi which is a beautiful car BUT also solidified my thought we have a loooonnng way to go before we can go fully electric. I managed to drive 118km in the mountains and drained the battery to 30 percent…

So. In order to try new things I rented a fully electric vehicle. I reserved a Tesla but I was met with the question “Are you traveling far?” My response was “Not too far.” She left the counter and came back indicating they did not have any Teslas…

@WhiteHouse Last I knew electric has a fee. Might skip a pump but the car has to be plugged in and a bill still needs to get paid. Prices go up on electric too.

@kgradyback2life @WhiteHouse Assuming the place where your kid eats ouch accepts cash. More and more the move toward plastic to continue tracking our dollars. Heck my favorite was the “coin shortage” during COVID and the push to use plastic to prevent the spread of germs.

Let’s teach them early about budgets so when they grow up they can dig the way out of this mess we’ve allowed politicians to make. #responsibility
