Before I joined the club, Pep was already an inspiration for me. To become his player and after 9 years end up being the one with most games played under him is truly an honour. He arrived at Man City, and the Premier League couldn’t be dominated playing his way… Well, they were wrong. Not only he dominated, he changed the game in England as he did in other countries before. The hunger and ambition to want more and more even after winning and winning again was a big inspiration. For me personally, he was and will always be my father of football. A lot of the things that many managers in the past thought were weaknesses of my game, he saw it as strengths and understood me from day one. On a personal level, the kindness, trust and respect that we had for each other makes me the proudest and goes beyond football. I couldn’t be more grateful for what he did for me and my family. Thank you for all the memories and experiences to the greatest manager ever Pep Guardiola! 😄
Bernardo Silva in tears before his final game for Man City. Nine years, 20 trophies, endless memories… the little magician gave everything for this badge. 🩵🥹
It’s hard to believe. Just 180 minutes left of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. It feels wrong even trying to imagine football without him on our touchline.
No more arms waving wildly as he shouts instructions from the sideline. No more nervous sip of water every time we concede. No more press conferences full of mind games and genius. No more watching him dismantle a league people once said he could never conquer.
What he’s done for this club goes beyond trophies. He changed everything , the standards, the mentality, the way football could be played. He gave City fans memories that will last forever.
Ten years sounds like a long time, but somehow it still doesn’t feel like enough.
You’ll forever be my manager. Thank you for every moment, every trophy, every masterclass, every emotion, even at the bad times.
You leave as the greatest to ever do it and I will miss you forever. 🩵🐐
The end of an era. The greatest to ever do it.
A manager who changed the entire landscape of English football and brought times to Manchester City we could never even dream about, and achievements that will never be replicated.
Thank you for everything, Pep.
