My dad is in this epic, well researched book & talks about his part creating the classic @bbcdoctorwho titles & his career in #Film. He was amazed to find a whole chapter dedicated to “The incredible Peter Govey”, which is what mum & I now refer to him as! 😂🤣 #DoctorWho
Had a second pub lunch with Peter Govey and @stuart_manning today. The first begat the interview published in Adventures in Type and Space. The second begat the autographed interview...

This woman was likely approached for a snappy vox pop, but ended up delivering something closer to a dramatic monologue.
Did you know banks sell your debt for 10 cents on the dollar?
Then collectors harass you for 100% of it.
Michael Sheen entered this market in 2023.
But instead of collecting, he erased everything.

Did you know? The co-discoverer of black holes – the Australian Louise Webster – has been forgotten. I’m giving away 5 signed copies of my new book, A CRACK IN EVERYTHING to a UK person chosen at random from those retweeting this https://t.co/UMGPR7LbDf @FelicityBryan@HoZ_Books
The UK’s new Labour government needs to dust off the ISC’s 2020 Russia Report classified annex with a view to sanitising and publishing it. The British people should know why Boris Johnson suppressed the report and just how far Putin and his cronies have corrupted our democracy.

@fliss59@Ald19Dr@Paul_Briley@ShaunLintern eg Have to fill out a form with 6 different text boxes to get a GP appointment which glitches & loses all the data before posting. So can fill it all out 3 times & lose it. It’s had my elderly parents in tears. They don’t want to keep asking for my help to book an appointment.
@fliss59@Ald19Dr@Paul_Briley@ShaunLintern It’s the separation of Trusts so each Trust seems to have their own app. So notes are separated between different apps. NHS app is for GP and hospital app is separate. The 2 don’t seem to join up. We need a more universal system that is easier to use. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
@fliss59@Ald19Dr@Paul_Briley@ShaunLintern The problem is older smartphones are often not supported for the apps & many pensioners can’t afford. Plus the current system is very complicated. 2 different apps and the NHS one is not very intuitive or easy to use. I’m constantly having to help my elderly parents (80s).
@RemainerNow@charliebuffet99@MattPattv1@UKLabour@ElectCalculus It seems whomever I vote for I get a Tory. It’s been like this my whole life in this constituency. With Reform splitting the vote & the current climate, Matt & Labour actually have a chance to unseat the Tory so I’m going with it. GEs are different to LEs. GE stats favour Labour.
@RemainerNow@charliebuffet99@MattPattv1@UKLabour@ElectCalculus Though if I was not tactical voting, my honest choice with my heart would be Greens. I’m already sacrificing my preferred vote because of FPTP & I lend it to Labour. I do actually think carefully & research before voting inc many factors, such as candidates, policies & stats.
@charliebuffet99@RemainerNow@MattPattv1@UKLabour@ElectCalculus & it turns out the site suggesting Lib Dem is a Lib Dem run site. You may disagree, but you are also disagreeing with local polling and every election since 2010 (when I also voted Lib Dem lol). It’s easy to look up the historical GE results. Things have shifted here in 14 yrs🤷🏻♀️
@charliebuffet99@RemainerNow@MattPattv1@UKLabour@ElectCalculus Not according to the local stats and the local polling. It’s shifted since 2010. It’s actually Lib Dems splitting the vote. It’s why they stood down the last election & Labour was the main opposition! I checked several sites and only 1 suggests Lib Dem the other 2 suggest Labour.
@RemainerNow@MattPattv1@UKLabour@ElectCalculus Tribal? lol. I voted Lib Dem back in 2010 as felt they were the best local candidate to beat the Tories at the time (& they were indeed ahead of Labour in that election) & this time I’ve chosen Labour for similar reasons. How is that “tribal”🤔 think that may perhaps be you?
@RemainerNow@MattPattv1@UKLabour@ElectCalculus The last time Lib Dem was ahead of Labour in Beaconsfield in a general election was 2010. Polls agree. I stupidly voted for them in 2010 then got Tory government as they went into coalition with the Tories instead of Labour!🤦🏻♀️ For that reason I will not trust/vote Lib Dem again.
