BREAKING: DeepSeek just raised $15 BILLION to aggressively build data centers and open-source models

>walks into investor meetings in hangzhou
>"we need $7 billion"
>investors start sweating
>"actually make it $11 billion"
>Tencent nods immediately
>"you know what, $15 billion"
>CATL, a literal battery company, throws in a bag
>everyone just kept nodding

One of the largest funding rounds in Chinese history btw.

@Josephyala No code gives you a box. AI gives you a door into the code when the box stops fitting.

Finally, an app that burns more calories when you use it.

@MaxForAI DeepSeek found a calorie hack. Xiaomi just turned pulling to refresh into cardio.

@zerohedge Sixteen billion in six months and people are saying that is it? AI money has completely broken our scale.

@LowLevelTweets Or patch it after checking the real advisory. Turning off production because of a tweet is not security.

@MatthewBerman Code can be copied. Distribution, trust, customers, and execution are still much harder to open source.

@leoleotoobad Both. Each review looks at the code differently, but eventually it starts reviewing your life choices too.
