💯 i use a glorified chatgpt variant at work to write simple scripts to help me parse shit, or feed it long user manual pdfs so i can ask questions about tedious board bringup / phy reg stuff. it makes that stuff faster & easier for sure. but AI isn’t the 2nd coming of christ

@JacJoyd_ this gives me the yikes. i don’t agree it should be used to build confidence that a person knows things. that should be done with research, not assuming an LLM is completely correct about everything it tells you.

@drowzen you misunderstand me. i do not think it should be used for heavy research; if it is, it should be double checked. it’s not good at nuance, and it will invent things if it doesn’t know something. i use it as a small tool in a larger toolbox, and i never use it to make decisions.
