A Neurodiversity Story, Part 1 (told in a 🧵)
I was born in 1970. An only child, I was a weird kid. I was pretty comfortable around adults and younger kids, but extremely socially awkward around kids my own age.
Info than that you delivered my package at 11:19 am yesterday.
I already knew that. You just didn’t deliver it to me.
I will never willingly use FedEx for shipping.
@FedExHelp you delivered my package to the wrong address yesterday. The photo shows someone else’s house. The “manage delivery” option on your website doesn’t work, and your customer service number did nothing but make me curse after the SIXTH call I made left me with no other
Small crowd gathers outside Town Hall in response to the “no public comment” rule at Select Board Hearings which starts at 7pm tonight. Inside a uniformed police officer & barriers mark off the select boards seats after last meeting’s impingement. Watch on https://t.co/I8u5caaG4a
Watch as the man who has served as a Select Board member for 34 years forgets that he is in that seat only because we who live in the town he serves voted for him and calls them “fucking random citizens” *during a select board meeting*. Now we know what he thinks of us.
Not okay
@CoffindafferFBI Those of us who live in Canton and are suspect of the investigation, the CPD, and the town leadership in general have come to that point as the result of moments like this one: SB member John Connolly at the last SB meeting, caught on the community TV mic…
@pfitzer_jessica AuDHD here. I was forced to make my bed every morning as a kid, so I stopped as soon as I had the chance. Which is too bad because I actually like getting into a made bed way better at night, but I can’t bring myself to do it every day.
@MattNel23 It’s one thing when someone says something that cuts me and they don’t know it. It’s one thing if someone who greatly cares about me says something I need to know in kindness. But “don’t take it personally” is someone’s way of discounting my feelings before I even feel them.
I see lots of talk about what superpower people would choose (teleportation, by the way).
But what about ordinary superpowers? Mine: I can make a meal and have everything be ready at the same time, and I can untangle any tangled piece of jewelry.
What are yours?
