Transphobia is boring, cowardly and regressive.
Anti-trans activism is not and never will be feminist.
Attacking trans people has nothing to do with protecting women's rights.
Those who pretend it does are either deluded or trying to justify their own ugly, hateful sadism.
Are we seriously having a public holiday because there's horse racing in Adelaide?
We need better reasons;
Don Dunstan safari suit day
Stobie Pole day.
Fritz A Rama
Wave to oncoming motorists day (might just be a West Coast thing)
Where Women’s Leadership Development Programs Fall Short
"for every woman you send to a leadership development program, send a proportional number of male leaders for inclusive leadership, allyship, or cultural humility development to improve their gender intelligence."

@BelindaJones68@SummersAnne@JaneCaro So over a decade, cost of male violence against women may be in the same ballpark as the cost of the stage 3 tax cuts. Imagine if that money could be put towards VAW prevention & response? Would go a long way towards ending violence #in1generation https://t.co/9sIWKoW80g
@BelindaJones68@SummersAnne@JaneCaro KPMG and PwC have both taken a crack at this several years ago, needs updating but a fairly conservative estimate today would be upwards of $26b/yr. The vast majority of this is borne by victim-survivors themselves

The Northern Territory has the highest rates of domestic violence in the country. Now an Indigenous-lead initiative hopes to address the violence before it starts, starting with kids in the classroom. @samjonscher reports. #abc730
Today on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember the lives that have been lost to transphobia and reaffirm our commitment to making society more trans inclusive.
A glimmer of hope in tackling gender-based violence exists in women’s representation in national parliaments. #MsReads via @pass_blue

The murder and disappearance of First Nations women is a national crisis which demands a self-determined, community-led response by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. #MMIW
@4corners@amymcquire@June_Oscar In our 2021 report Pathways to Safety, we discuss the key drivers of violence against First Nations women, and what must be done to end it. We need a self-determined National Safety Plan for First Nations women, by First Nations women, now.
