In the 4th York Inter Schools Chess Tournament, Scarcroft Knights and Scarcroft Kings all played very skillfully and represented school so well. They reclaimed the trophy from St Peter's School and two of the boys won best game prizes as well! Amazing! #ScarcroftThrive

Y6 read the poem 'Dulce et Decorum est' by Wilfred Owen. At the time of WW1, men were told that it was 'sweet and right' to die for their country. Reading this poem demonstrated to Year 6 that war was anything but 'sweet and right'. #ScarcroftHistory #ExcelRemembers
