Reminder: it’s not normal to stress about & hate your body all the time. You deserve a life where you go days without hating your body and letting it stop you from doing the things you love.
A few things to avoid this holiday season:
✨ commenting on other people’s food & body
✨ skipping meals before a holiday party
✨ exercising to earn or burn off your food
✨ listening to Aunt Sally talk about the next diet she’s going on
I don’t know who needs to hear this but you deserve more than a life where:
👉🏼 You think about food 24/7
👉🏼 You are constantly self conscious and unhappy with your body
👉🏼 Spend hours in the gym so that you can look like your favorite influencer
When some people do certain eating behaviors they are praised for them but for others, it is viewed as disordered eating. It just depends on what your body size looks like. How messed up is that?
Complimenting someone on their weight loss is something our society needs to do away with (& there are so many other compliments to give!)
We have no idea how they lost weight: trauma, cancer, eating disorder, lack of resources/food, depression. Plz pause before you compliment
