@TripperDallas Fastest growing tech economy globally last year was Alberta. Could care less whether the rest of the country thinks about Alberta, but WILL be grateful to get a more balanced government in place. Oil revenues balance the National GDP but we don’t have to talk about that.

@bettybloodclot Truthfully there is a great range of acceptable education globally and I’ve worked directly with MDs that were unknowledgable and unsafe. The risks of fast tracking are too high IMO.

Lower cost of living and beautiful country draws people here - 30’s, 50’s, 70-80’s; nothing new - and very few arriving people (regardless of ethnicity, socioeconomic status or family make-up) are ranchers / farmers - so cities

@AreOhEssEyeEe So I don’t have a clue about the CBC, but if you took the time to educate yourself you’d realize the opening ceremonies had ZERO to do with denigrating Christianity, and everything to do with celebrating the original Gods of Olympus ( ie - the Olympics?) at the Feast of Dionysus

@Brcremer Unfortunately, the creator of the peice was distraught it had been misinterpreted as it was really a celebration of Dionysius and the Gods of Olympus - he very clearly said he’d had no intention to mock or denigrate anyone’s religion, but to celebrate the origins of the Olympics

@RealTalkRJ @charlesadler Completely disagree- religious monuments belong in places of worship only, not funded or promoted in public spaces. To say Judeo-Christian cultures are the only ones that provide respect is at best ignorant and misinformed, at worst hatred. Christianity isn’t universal.

@realest49919420 Thank you for posting; my sense is men have a harder time connecting with social supports. This feels like an effort to do this & I’m happy to see men rising to the occasion - I’ve tried for some time to support my partner, but know I can’t give the male focused support needed

@thechosenberg No - the husband ITA; idiot teenager should have been reprimanded and made to leave along w stupid parents.
Husband should not have had anything to do w the teenager, but should have 100% backed her up - and recognized how egregious the kid’s actions were.
