It's emotionally taxing to have my book(s) banned. But not because they're my books, but because all I can think about is the message it sends to the Black kids who see themselves in my books.
They deserve to have their stories told whether it makes you comfortable or not.
Dear @BusterPosey, you are a rare bird.
You have what most of us MLB players never did, true perspective. You didn’t bow down & worship the game of baseball as if it were your God. In the eyes of @SFGiants fans, you walked on water but to you, it was just a game you loved to...
Sad to see Buster Posey go, but going out on your own terms with three rings, an MVP, every year of your career with the same team and balling out in your final season without needing a farewell tour is about as gangster as it gets.
There is no tweet or sentiment that can encapsulate what Buster Posey meant to Giants fans. He is irreplaceable and legendary. A true champion and a Giants lifer. I still remember the excitement in 2008 when he got drafted and in 2010 it was clear he was generational. WHAT A RUN.
It's hard to find child care. If you can find it, you might not be able to afford it. If you can find it and afford it, there might be a waiting list 8 miles long. As a country, we need to invest in universal child care so we can build a future for every family.
