Each and every thing we say yes to sets the pace of our lives. And we aren’t called to live as worn-out people.
This week, let’s ask the Lord to help us recognize the places where we can say “yes” with joy and where we need to say “no” with grace.
Data-driven instruction only makes sense if the data makes sense. And much of the data used to guide reading instruction doesn't.

Today I just so happened to enter a classroom at a moment when the teacher knew the lesson wasn’t going the way she had planned. Her response:
“Hey can you stay a minute and give me some feedback?” 👏🙌
Sometimes excellence come in the form of asking for feedback. Excellence isn’t about being the best. It’s about holding the desire to constantly be better. We could all learn a lesson from this young teacher. Whatever position you are in, never stop being willing to accept feedback. That’s the only way to improve. #multiplyexcellence
Today our parents surprised our entire staff with ready to bake dinner for our first day of school. 🩷🙌😭 I can’t even.

My regular plea to teachers: "Please ditch the traditional weekly word list. The only way students learn to spell & read words is through orthographic mapping.
The assignment of the traditional weekly spelling list does the opposite of orthographic mapping.
