@teachinaTARDIS Regardless of one's personal beliefs, if we don't believe that the library should be the most safe and affirming space in the school then why are we even here? Safety and visibility are how so many of us fell in love with libraries to begin work.
@Long4theLibrary @BonnieGarmus This is my neighborhood book club book this month, and I'm hosting at my house. I had other plans or I would have crashed your book club last week.
@TechySewell I asked my principal about this once when I worked in an elementary school. He said that research showed kids held back more than once are exponentially more likely to drop out. Rarely would parents want to hold a student back, and they have final say.
@kelseybogan What about Signup Genius? Site is visible to all and free. Sign ups can be duplicated, and you can have multiple slots. I use it to schedule instruction sessions in my library.
@adhdlibrary Quakers (Friends) -- diverse theology, sacraments are almost always internal. No water baptism that I know of. Communion is a silent waiting upon God together every Sunday. Most of my pastors have been women, but some congregations don't have pastors
@mattboswellpnw @cwdaniels Friend speaks my mind. I also think if we wholeheartedly love that of God in a person we find that we find it easier to love that person through time.
