@ireeneelliott 1000x harder, you basically lose yourself in your kids. You see yourself as a child and relive any type of childhood trauma, you’re constantly triggered, overwhelmed, and you have to teach them stuff that you never learned. its worth it though, and you end up better because of it

@ireeneelliott Babies can breastfeed in the most weird positions, you are a rollercoaster of emotions, sometimes laying in the crib is easier than laying in your own bed. Kids copying swear words is the least of your worries & sometimes your only convo all day is w/ a 2yo

@ireeneelliott No one told me that my toddler putting her shirt on wrong would make us all belly laugh for 10 minutes straight or that having no more lucky charms would cause us to full sob on the kitchen floor at 6am. No one told me that babies would breastfeed standing up, everything is weird
