Thanks to the excellent @Delta customer service (especially for skymiles members like myself) our vacation has been a mess and we will have to cancel our boat trip tomorrow because we have no clothes, personal items, etc.

Still no luggage and no text and the @Delta baggage line is now closed. Any store where we would get essentials are closed as well.

After an hour wait, a @Delta representative said our bags had arrived and they would be delivered before 10 PM and that we would receive a text soon with delivery information

I called the @Delta baggage line and waited on hold for an hour.

We filed our claim with a lovely @Delta agent who also said we would get our bags today and gave us a number to call if we had questions

Our checked bags wouldn’t be able to come with us, but @Delta assures us that we can file a claim when we arrive and Seattle and we will get our bags today

@AlaskaAir came to our rescue and we were able to hop on a direct flight, getting in close to our original time. For just $700 dollars for 2 one way trips.🙃

Then @Delta rebooked us on a flight that wasn’t direct would arrive 8 hours after our original time

At 6:45 AM EST, 10 min before boarding @Delta cancelled our flight to Seattle. There wasn’t a pilot available. They had people racing to another gate to get rebooked. Literal running
