@punished_cait this exact situation happened with me and my sis! only neither of us were spoiled brats about it; we got that it was bad timing. family was with my sis for her wedding & visited me soon after my son was born! baby’s not going anywhere, but wedding is one day.
@memsource I hadn’t heard of that interpretation! To me, though, “mind the dog” doesn’t align as well with the accompanying mosaic of a reared-back, snarling dog. I’d “beware” that dog for sure!
@FalynnK isn’t this also true of flour tortillas? we always heat ours on the burner, then put them in a closed tortilla holder thingy. that way they’re toasty-flavored and warm but also soft from the steam
@laurenthehough You might want to also look at “menstrual discs.” I’ve had my Ziggy disc for years and love it! Discs don’t have that weird point at the bottom which always kinda freaked me out a lil. Good luck with whatever you end up choosing!
@lindseyadler I read this as “beyond the sea” and you know what? I’m convinced now that song was also about a merperson’s desperate longing to transform into a biped and reunite with a shore-bound lost love.
@laurenthehough Check out the Blackthorn Key series by Kevin Sands! My 11-year old tore through those books (5 in the series so far). Fun, well-written historical fiction set in 17th century Europe. The main character is a teenage apothecary’s apprentice with a penchant for blowing stuff up.
