BREAKING: Fraser Health announced this afternoon that it has reversed its decision to close Peace Arch Hospital’s maternity ward for three-months. The plan was met with wide condemnation from the community, including a protest outside the hospital today. More to come.
@elenoresturko@TrevHal I don’t worry as much about that hospital not having maternity I worry more that the existing hospitals aren’t equipped for maternity. We should be fixing those hospitals before building a new maternity ward elsewhere. Peace Arch needs pediatrics!
This is wrong & disrespectful. You’re under cutting the hard work done by the community.
This wasn’t solely McCallum’s or “Safe Surreys” victory it was a team effort.
The fact you’re taking credit shows how much you don’t care about community & only care about your image.
BREAKING: The maternity ward at Peace Arch Hospital will remain open for those who have pre-existing plans to deliver their babies at the hospital. More to come.
Great turnout today for @RallyforPAHMat! Great to see @TrevHal & Mayor of #WhiteRock Darryl Walker along w/ lots of media interest.
@fraserhealth this closure is not sitting well w/ the community. Please take notice and make changes. Our community deserves better. #southsurrey
