@Sam_Sacks @WSJBooks Thanks for including Anna K in your piece. My friends sent me only the part where Anna K was mentioned and then I later realized it was part of a larger article! Lol! So interesting and I ordered that book immediately! #annak (FYI, I don’t really know how to tweet...🤣)
Woke up to a super fun email from my friend Mel (we worked together on Season 3 of Brockmire) letting me know that ANNA K received a shoutout in Sam Sifton’s NYTimes “What to Cook” newsletter/column today! Thank you… https://t.co/H4yBeLXFAX
Thank you Vanity Fair (and Arimeta Diop!) for picking ANNA K as one of the 21 BEST BOOKS of 2020 to help you “tolerate” this year! Everyone needs a little escape these days, right?! I know I do!! Link in bio!!… https://t.co/obWciKejey

Thank you @BlueWillowBooks (I bought American Royals from your store!) I wish I could have seen your store in person... but hopefully next year! 💖💙💖 thanks for this fun Twitter event! @TeenBookCon #TweetBookCon
Wow, this was AMAZING. @teenbookcon authors and readers, ✨thank you all✨ for participating in #TweetBookCon!
#Houston-area teens, we have a special surprise announcement for y’all… 🥁🥁🥁
I would say thank you for reading Anna K! Also, there’s a great power in everyone sharing the same experience around the globe. Yes, it’s scary, but we should empathize with one another and offer kindness and support during this time. My fav escape is with a book! #TweetBookCon
Thank you so much! Am happy Anna K provided you with a little fun and frothy escapism during these strange days! I very much prefer my drama-drama to be fictional!! Please stay safe! 💖💙💖 #TweetBookCon
Writing from home with my giant dog asleep under my desk. I also love seeing pics of Anna K all over Instagram @jennyleewrites , so fun! (Sorry, I’m mainly an Instagram author instead of Twitter. I have enough procrastination problems as it is so I can’t do both!) #TweetBookCon
My first 2 weeks at home were spent obsessively reading every article and eating poptarts! I am distracted and can’t focus on anything creative. But I am trying not to add extra stress to an already stressful time, so I’m okay with whatever I can do. #TweetBookCon
I feel I have had different cheerleaders for different books. For Anna K it was my husband who was the person who inspired me and encouraged me every single day during the process. I channeled my love for him into Anna’s feelings for Vronsky. I dedicated it to him! #TweetBookCon
#tweetbookcon Is having a good support system crucial for the development of a good book? Who/what is your biggest motivator when starting out a new journey?
I met Mackenzie Lee (no relation) at the North Texas Teen Book Festival in early March. So I’m reading and loving The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue! Next up for me is Brown Girls Ghosted by Mintie Das! #TweetBookCon
I worked in book publishing, online marketing, advertising, PR... many assistant jobs and many battles with mean xerox machines! A writer’s life has many ups and downs financially, but it’s worth it. I moved to LA to write for TV to support my author career! #TweetBookCon
Read everything. Different genres, try new authors, and pick books you wouldn’t normally read. It really shows you how big the storytelling world can be and will inspire you to realize you have to find your own story that only you can tell. Write what obsesses you. #TweetBookCon
I am working on the pilot episode of Anna K right now (it’s in development with HBO MAX!) My fav thing is to to think about casting. Anna K would prob be an unknown. But I do think about a blonde Chalamet for Vronsky. Or Maisie Williams for Beatrice. #TweetBookCon
I have always wanted to be a writer since I was a little kid. The hard part was convincing my strict Korean parents that it was a viable career path. Haha. Also I love reading books SO MUCH I wanted to join in the fun. #TweetBookCon
I’m having a smidgen of writers block right now! (I blame stress) But normally if I’m working on a specific project and hit a roadblock I question if perhaps I’m stuck for a reason... like I’m headed down the wrong plot path. Switch to a new project to break it. #TweetBookCon
My title character Anna K would be playing with her two giant Newfoundland show dogs named Gemma and Jon Snow! I know this because I’m relying on my Newfoundland dog Gemma for entertainment during this stressful time! #TweetBookCon@BlueWillowBooks @TeenBookCon
I had this one glorious sugar free Red Bull fueled night when drafting Anna K in early 2017 where I stayed up writing until 5AM. It was near the end and I was inspired (ie: desperate) to get my first draft done! #TweetBookCon @TeenBookCon
