🎉 Big news from The Witty Farmer! 🎉
We’ve officially closed on our new location in downtown Pittsfield, IL— right on the square!
We’re bringing our locally sourced meats, fresh produce, and carefully chosen goods to the community, and we couldn’t be more excited to become part of Pittsfield.
We’re currently looking for a few more local producers (especially for fresh produce and pork) to join us. If you or someone you know would be a great fit, please send us a message — we’d love to hear from you.
This is just the beginning. We have more locations coming soon, and we’d love for you to follow along as we grow.
More details and sneak peeks coming soon! Follow the new page here: https://t.co/miRb3MItFZ

Well, we put a little bit of our store into our baker’s bakery. We now have a smidge of our stuff in Carrollton, IL…more main locations to be announced soon! Never thought we’d get this far.
A little late in posting, but I dragged my husband, Mark, along with me to attend the IL Ag Legislative Day event last week. We went with our farm bureau members as well. Mark got a good taste of some of the things I do behind the scenes.
We listened to @RepCharlieMeier, @RepSonyaHarper, @SenDorisTurner, @GovPritzker, and then met with a couple afterwards. Thanks to Sen. Jil Tracy as well!
Stay tuned with updates about things we are working on with our political leaders.

We had a wonderful meeting this morning with @SenDorisTurner! She and Grant are always fun conversation. And we made it up on her door, twice. 😁
Since the weather today was less than desirable, I dressed a little more practical rather than business professional. Thankfully they didn’t care.
Update of stuff:
I’ve been absent from posting what’s going on, so if you care, here it is.
We just started construction on our 30’x90’ high tunnel. This will be used to grow produce for our stores. She’s a big gal. We should’ve started it last fall when we got it, but harvest is kind of a big deal.
I’ll be going back to politic’ing to help pass some legislation & amendments, hopefully, to help people like us opening farmer’s markets stores. I’d rather be on the farm every day, but have to suck it up from time to time and do these necessary things.
Store numbers are growing, our 6yr old daughter, Hunter Olivia, she is too-she’s 4’5”-yikes. 😂
That’s a quick update of things.
Well, we had a surprise guest! @DarrenBaileyIL & his wife, Cindy, visited both of our stores yesterday. It was great to be able to share what we’re doing and how it’s growing.
We’ve had both sides of the aisle come and visit; it’s fun to share what we do with those representing the rest of us.

Merry Christmas? Well, kind of. This should make feeding the fat cattle a little easier. No more lugging buckets from the grain bin, just lugging them a shorter distance now. 😉
3 ton mobile bin from Green’s Welding & Sales.

Mark trying out the new snow plow on the gator. Works pretty well! Had to be careful on the gravel. He cleaned up the rest after I took the video.

It’s a winter wonderland outside! Very pretty, I’m sure the cows are loving it. 😂 Time to go feed them, and bust out the gator snow plow.
