i’ve been thinking about how much easier it is to be disciplined when you’re excited about something. the real test is what happens after the excitement wears off and it becomes ordinary work.

four months left in the year.
enough time for a lot to change, enough time to begin something, enough time to surprise yourself.
the year isn’t over yet🤍
August made me think a lot about work, growth and how much our careers can change when we keep learning.
So I wrote about it 🫶🏽

Nobody is coming to enforce the life you say you want.
People can encourage you, pray with you, open doors for you, teach you, recommend you and believe in you. But there’s a point where you have to become the person who follows through.
lately i’ve been enjoying discovering things i didn’t know i liked.
a new colour, a new place, a different way of dressing.
maybe we’re never really done meeting ourselves.
forever grateful for people who believe in you enough to push you towards things you would’ve talked yourself out of.
we all need friends like that in our corner🤍
there are people i haven’t spoken to in years that i still think of whenever something very specific happens. i wonder if that counts as missing someone.
